NSW are PATHETIC

KURT GIDLEY (capt, fullback): Busy game, and the Blues looked at their best when he moved into dummy half in the second half. 7

JARRYD HAYNE (wing): As in game one, NSW's best in finishing with two tries. If the Blues had 13 - or even four or five - of him, they would have romped home. 8

JOEL MONAGHAN (centre): Hopelessly exposed in defence, nonexistent in attack. 5
JAMIE LYON (centre): Quiet in attack, while Inglis's early injury meant his defence was never really put to the test. 5
DAVID WILLIAMS (wing): Strong effort to power his way over in the second half, but an Origin debut he'd rather forget after coughing up the ball twice deep inside his own half. 6
TRENT BARRETT (five-eighth): Brilliant work to set up David Williams' try, but his most pivotal play proved to be the swinging arm which knocked out Greg Inglis. 6
PETER WALLACE (halfback): Like game one, struggled to make an impact and far too often his kicks found the hands of Billy Slater. 5
BRENT KITE (front row): Hooked after just 18 minutes, and only returned late in the match as the Blues desperately tried to get back into the game. 5
ROBBIE FARAH (hooker): Made 32 tackles but was largely ineffective running from dummy half, while his shocking pass gift-wrapped Lockyer's four-pointer. 6
MICHAEL WEYMAN (front row): Struggled to bend the line or put some sting in his defence. 6
LUKE O'DONNELL (second row): Ran for more metres than any other NSW forward in another powerful display. 7
BEN CREAGH (second row): Not even close to making the impact he made in the series opener, with Lockyer more than up to the task in defence. 6
PAUL GALLEN (lock): His brain snap set the tone for Queensland's early domination when he floated a pass across field. 5
Interchange
JUSTIN POORE: Injury ended what was a disappointing encore performance for this Dragon. 6
GLENN STEWART: Failed to show the ball-playing skills he displays in club football, but tried hard in defence. 6
ANTHONY WATMOUGH: Gave the Blues penetration on the left edge, and he tried his best to lift his teammates with some inspirational defence in the second half. 7
JOSH MORRIS: Sat on the bench until midway through the second half before catching a cold on the wing. 5

Our play the balls were way to slow. I almost counted to 30 on several occasions. Get Hey Presto in there. Why Can't Beam me up Scotty Prince be a NSWelsh man.

Soward, Orford, Kimmy & or Mullen would have done a better job. Your selectors didn't help.

Kimmorley would have won the game for sure not to mention Soward off the bench would have been dynamite around the rucks tonight when QLD were on the back foot.

Sorry to say Peter Wallace get a life that first half perfomance was terrible at 18-0 the game was over on a positive the best forward for NSW was Poore well at least he got one in and well Hayne was the best on ground again !!!!!! I would like to see a shake up for game 3 Hindmarsh back Mullen and Barrett and Jennings back

You're seeing that through blue and gold eyes. Justin played like his namesake...Weyman was miles ahead.

They were both good. Weyman added drive, Poore stood up and added some fire. I have NFI on the metres made but both worked hard too

I was impressed by Poore's work rate and willingness to run. But he seemed ineffective to me - got smashed every time he ran.

I know he had 3 or 4 defenders on him, but Fui does too and he rarely gets dominated.

I must say I was a bit nervous seeing as we signed him...Still - one average game doesn't make the player I guess.

Williams recovered from two bad errors and played very well afterwards.

Willimas is much like Steve Turner. A good winger in an excellent team. Well out if his depth last night. He had his moments but his clanger on the first tackle, giving the ball back to Qld inside their twnety metre zone. Sorry Bazal but he should be a one game wonder.

For a while there I was trying to figure out if it was a N.S.W. team out there or Parramatta without the gold .....awful stuff ....probably only kept in the game by some very favourable refereeing decisions .........Inglis taken out and another 4 or 5 players from Qld wounded and still never looked like winning ..........R.I.P. N.S.W Rugby League .......

You never saw Fui's debut for the Kiwis against England did you? Made Poore look like Artie Beetson at his best.......

- The next time Jamie Lyon says that he doesn't want to play rep footy the selectors should listen to him.
- Justin Poore's shot on Mick Crocker was a highlight.
- Bill Harrigan should never be allowed near the video ref's box ever again.
- David Williams kick on the first tackle made me shoot beer through my nose and I wasn't even drinking at the time.
