You're just a round eyed racist so and so. He is a 'gubba'.

Well Pascoe the Fiascoe may have forgiven you but I have not.

Despite our obvious differences if you wish to go to the Harold Matthews final on Saturday morning let me know and I will pick you up from which ever establishment you happen to be poured out off?

A Penrith scout needs to get out to Peppertree this weekend to watch St Clair take on Windsor in the C grade
I think and have been saying for a while that these players can lift the 20s.
And they should be blooded into the team,to rebuild early for next year(if wins do not start coming)

Windsor- Corey Carl,Ronny Palumbo,William Beale

St Clair-Tori Willie,Keti Nanai,Michael Pio
Maybe the scouts arent the ones on paint thinners because KETI NANNAI and MIKE PIO dont play for STCLAIR

There are still talking up Harry within the club as I understand and believe he has what it takes to progress thru to the NRL.
Ive watched a lot of footy over the years and in my opinion Harry Seijka hasnt got it and the my main reason is he dosent dominate his own age group where as the jennings,grants,wades,lewises,gowers,fittlers,cootes,waterhouses/pritchards of the comp were absolutely outstanding and to good for there age groups at the same age there are frontrowers in the ball comp that scored more tries than him and not to mention the amount of times opposition players ran through him i hope im wrong he has stopped our chances of buying others with the big coin he is on......

I don't disagree with your views.

However, the coaching staff of which I have some contacts within, remain convinced he is the real deal.

He starred in the Matthews but has probably underachieved since.

Having said that, the players he has played with when he has played 'up' have not done him too many favours and our TYC and SG Ball side have been somewhat disappointing overall.

Give the kid a chance. He was touted as our next Greg Alexander and while that is looking unlikely you need to recognise the likes of another Greg Alexander is extremely unlikely.

I will never understand how our NYC team is doing so badly. Surely someone has to lose a job over this, or some changes be made.

The problem comes from ther top our inability to retain and bleed players hurts us every year. We get the 'We can't keep them all" line we enquires are made. I do understand this but sign The Best 17 juniors up then let the rest be picked but we fail to do that.

Perfect example the club (Not me) had high hopes of the Seijka bros being the next big things yet let Sterling go to the Titans. I didn't rate him but management did so why was he not locked up. Poor management!!!

Sterling Seika was allowed to move on because our management were of the opinion he is unlikely to progress to the NRL. Having watched Sterling I agree with management he is clearly not an NRL standard player and will not figure in the NRL with the Gold Coast.

Management do make some good decisions. I'd say, letting JTK go was a poor decision in the scheme of things.

Where we have really gone bad, is out purchasing and development of halves.

Greg Alexander and Craig Gower were our best. Aisde from that we had the Whizz for a few seasons and that's about it.

Walshe is a true 'average' halfback. What out side lacks is a genuine superstar in the halves.

I'd suggest if we got a package deal with Petero and Lockyer we would have won the comp this year.

I agree Walsh isn't ever going to be a superstar in the Thurston/Pearce/Johns/Prince/Cronk mould but he is none the less doing a precent decent job and clearly our only option. Heaven help us if he get's injured.

Before you post the inevitable about giving Masada a go, he is not a half back, never was and hopefully for our sake never will be.

Masada is a creative player. Should be used the same way Tigers use Robbie Farrah, doing creative stuff around the ruck area.

I agree he was rubbish but the question still remains why was signed for 3 years??? he still had 1 year left. Also how many good players did we lose because we had him?? That's the problem with management. Talent id is rubbish now

I agree to a point but i honestly believe from watching a lot of local footy that as a district we havent missed any players and they all get picked for development squads etc along the way i think the problem is we dont keep them here and recruiting out of the area like every other nrl club does is the answer and because we are the biggest rugby league district dosent mean we are the best eg;Melbourne storm do not have one single homegrown player in there ranks in cluding 20s and SGBall and there results speak for themselves 2009 NRL premiers 2009Toyota cup premiers 2009 SGBall grand finalists not bad for all imports...theres your problem..and yes they did cheat the cap but the point is you have to buy to win..

With the junior nursery the Panthers can call upon surely we should'nt have to recruit wholesale from other areas. One would think with proper coaching and talent identification we should have enough quality in our juniors to continue to produce top junior sides and ultimately the occasional NRL quality player.

Well as i said before noone was missed the roosters have 6 penrith juniors that were picked in our squads but left on there own accord and as i also said before if you dont have the cattle no coach in the world can make a star out of a player and obviously the talent is limited in penrith now out of 36matts players and 35ball players that trained on we couldnt of missed anyone and they only bought 3players in from queensland so it wasnt like we tried to buy a team like a melbourne storm. To add to that tyrone viga was bought by cronulla for bigger money than he was worth and i heard penrith offered him good money to stay but he wanted to get out of the area regardless so unless you know what goes on behind the scenes we cant be sure we let players go......might not be as easy as that.

Also some of those players that went to roosters went because they thought they were a better chance of getting a game there when in actual fact they would of faired better at penrith

I agree about having the cattle that is for sure and certain. I don't blame the coach of the Toyota Cup side as surely he simply doesn't have the playing roster to succeed. I agree I am no longer privy to what goes on behind the scenes so yes I don't know about the issues you refer too. It is not easy that is for sure but it doesn't mask the fact we have a substantial junior nursery and we are not travelling too well which is disappointing.

Fair enough but would you agree apart from the 20s which has a long way to go that there has been a vast improvement on last year in the matts and ball results considering last years ball finished 12th in the season proper last year and considering the amount of injuries the ball had this year they played melbourne with three front rowers out two pulling out the friday before the game apparently.
