NSW Game 2 team

The damage is pretty much done IMO. If NSW were going to win this series, they needed to (more or less) get it right in game 1. For the last several years, they have buggered up the initial selections and then needed to make too many changes. Comparatively, QLD are much more settled.

Creagh, Buhrer out.
Watmough, TLL in.

If Williams is ok, leave him in. Otherwise bring in Woods.

I live in Queensland these days and it was interesting to note the enemy's thoughts on our team during Origin.

A friend pointed out Gallen should be moved back to lock. While he was a success at prop when we were desperate, it actually takes away something from Gallen's game. He becomes too much of a work horse and less dangerous.

Secondly, as much as people praise Uate, two tries were his fault. Both times he made a bad read and came off his wing. He is a defensive liability. Not sure what to do about that as we have little else to choose from.

I would be moving Gallen to lock, Bird to the bench, Merrin to prop.

I would also drop Buehrer and Creagh. Watmough, Woods and Learoyd Lahrs come into the team (Williams out injured). Watmough starts, with Stewart to the bench.

You are kidding yourself.
Dont think so.
Uate ,brilliant in attack, but cant read play at all(Stevie wonder could read play better)..For every try he scores he will let Two in.

Pearce,Most overtaed player of the last Twenty yrs,Has the creativity of roadkill.Has had many many chances at SOO level & continues to fail.

Carney ,probably the one who could improve, but if nerves get the better of him at this level ,he will be back on the drink by the end of the series.

Please continue to pick Pearce..

Lets just hope that he gets through the next few weeks before Game 2..
We dont want him injured as they might pick a player with some creativity.

Wednesday night proved again that form means sfa. Eg Hayne, Jennings and to a lesser extent bird who were awesome

These players were not out of form, Jennings had had 1 poor game all season and for the rest has been Penriths most dangerous player by far, no panther fan would argue this.

Hayne had 4 try assists but really set up 5 the match before Origin, the only game his team won just happened to coincide with his return from injury and he got a deserving MOTM in a losing team against the Sharks where he pretty much single handedly pushed the form team in the comp to the wire.

Bird has consistently been among the Titans best, along with Bailey and Douglas he's one of the only merkins up there that seems to give a shit.

It's no coincidence you (and the media in general) name 3 players from the bottom 3 teams on the table. People are looking for reasons these teams suck shit, but these players are absolutely not it and people need to stop validating this made up bullshit by repeating it.

What do people think of the idea of throwing Tim Grant onto the bench, I see a fair bit James Tamou in him, has been good since returning from injury. Due to William's injury most people here have said they want a 2nd specialist prop on the bench. The 3rd or 4th article about him came out today, it just got me wondering...
14. Hinchcliffe
15. Watmough
16. Merrin / Grant
17. Woods / Grant

All well and good to criticise, but who would you repalce them with, and why would they be better options?

Buhrer and Creagh out hopefully (why were they chosen in the first place?????) We need another prop plus Watmough. As RABK has said Scott now comes into calculations with T-Rex out.

G Stewart & Scott are right-side players.

Watmough plays generally plays left side, and Lewis prefers this side too.

What I'm saying basically is if those players are picked as the wider forward rotation, GS & BS won't be in the starting team together and one of Lewis or Watmough would start in their place.

Scott plays left centre for the Dragons so i'm sure he is capable of playing left in the backrow. Scott can also play tight in the middle with Bird shifting left. Also saying Watmough prefers left is a stretch - 95% of his runs are straight up the middle.

I'm sure Stuart will look to accomodate Scott into the side. The biggest problem is not who plays what side but how we give each player enough minutes. But keeping our backrowers to 30-50 minute stints enables us to have that fast line speed which we dominated QLD with in game 1.

You're losing your shit if you think Beau Scott deserves to be there.......

He's been terrible this year.
