NSW going forward

Well it's another day, so let's come up with another NSW Team. The problem is that the media has created so much hype (through the likes of Johns, Gould, Fittler etc) that it needs to be released that some of these blokes just can't play.

NSW just don't get it, QLD were all class and ticker.

Could not give shit who they pick in the future but there is absolutely no need for a NSW squad to have 10 days together to 'prepare' for an origin game. Save the f**king time and money and maybe give them a few days to get on the piss in the lead up. Its a joke they stay in luxurious accommodations for so long to show up and deliver squat every year.

Absolutely pointless.

NSW Wins
Morris 4 From 15
Dugan 4 from 12
Hayne 9 from 23
Maloney 3 from 9
Pearce 5 from 18
Woods 5 from 14
Fifita 3 from 10
Cordner 2 from 9
Jackson 3 from 9

And they keep picking them. They must have some good photos of Daley.

I'd be very happy for the player payments (30 or 40K each per game???)to be held over as a winner takes all pot. NSW players do not deserve diddly squat as a financial return for being so inept. They are ruining this concept. Time for relegation. Give Vic or Tas or f**king any other mob a go.

You can not gve the losing team in this series the same monetary reward as the winners any longer. QLD players deserve a motza for showing up and having a go. Why would you reward mediocrity from NSW players and their organisation year after year?

We lost the game in the forwards last night. Guys off the bench did ok, starting forwards were terrible.

I never want to see Woods in a blues Jersey again after that effort. How long did it take him to get on side in some of those plays. I can forgive a bad game but he was disinterested and has no heart what so ever.

I am surprised many people still have fafita in their teams especially starting. I will admit he might still be useful but is just being used wrong. QLD have worked out how to contain him they get numbers in the takle and one goes low if he can get some offloads off there has to be holes or if we can spread or kick wide there has to be numbers out there.

Graham is a great player but is too undisciplined, he has given away a few silly penalties that have really coat us the last few games and you can't win origin off the back of that. If he is to stay someone has to have a long talk with the bloke.

I would love Bird to play in the halves at the Broncos next year, it would be great for him to get some experience and play there for NSW, they really lifted when he came on he brings such enthusiasm.

Not sure why everyone has Cordner in their team. He knocked on what 2 or 3 times last night and was involved in letting 2 trys in.

He did nothing in that series to suggest to me he need to be selected again.

NSW need to find a spine with some real footy players, Chad Townsed is not the answer that is for sure. Also don't start Woods and Fifita together we were going so much better with Klemmer and Jake Turbo. Fifita biggest impact after game one was felt in the newspaper, im sorry but you have to back it up if you are going to talk tough, one out of three doesn't cut it., and no I wasn't expecting a freakish performance again but I was expecting him to do something in games 2 and 3 instead of just of put on his ass every time he touched the ball.

At the end of the day that was a poorly coached side with no real leaders, we were flat as a tack to start game 3, the way we were defending after we scored that try is how we needed to start the game, where was that intensity?

Edit: When you look at it we were dominating this series right up until Graham missed that tackle on Josh McGuire, that was the turning point for us. He backed that up with another average performance and dumb penalty when we were starting to get back into it in the 2nd half. That shit doesn't cut it.

He didn't look 100% out there to me, I think they brought him in too early after injury.

This is a good idea. Winner takes all.

There's a few very obvious guys who should be stamped as never to play again, either because they don't have it or they are past it - Pearce, Hayne, Ferguson, Dugan, Morris, Woods. There's also a few question marks over a few players - Jackson, Graham, Fifita - who may retain based on having some sort of recent good form.

For next year, there's a few spots we can all agree on.

1. Tedesco
2. Mansour
3.
4.
5. Trbojevic
6. Moylan
7.
8. Klezmer
9. Peats
10.
11. Cordner
12. Frizzell
13. Trbojevic
14. Vaughan
15.
16.
17.

IMO, the questions with Fifita and Bird are whether or not they start or come off the bench. Personally, I'd start Bird at right centre with Roberts on the left (over Walker, as I think Roberts would handle the switch better). I'd also probably run with Fifita off the bench and start Vaughan - his opening spells this year have shown he's more than just an impact forward. Ryan James rounds out the prop rotation, but Shannon Boyd wouldn't look out of place. I'd then run with DeBelin and Graham off the bench, with the latter able to fill in out wide when needed.

Finally, the 7. Personally, I'd be going with Cleary as long as he's in some sort of form. The Jarred Mullen gig has scared the f**k out of NSW but this is a kid worth punting on. If his form doesn't hold steady, Maloney keeps his spot.

1. Tedesco
2. Mansour
3. Roberts
4. Bird
5. Trbojevic
6. Moylan
7. Cleary/Maloney
8. Klemmer
9. Peats
10. Vaughan
11. Cordner
12. Frizzell
13. Trbojevic

14. Fifita
15. James
16. Graham
17. De Belin

I'm assuming you guys missed Pearce's missed tackle and the following play of getting tackled in goal last night? Origin plays both of them. Keep him at halfback and give him the captaincy. He's ready to stand up.

David Klemmer, Jake Turbo and Paul Vaghan should be the heart of the middle rotation next year with Fifita as the impact guy off the bench and whoever else is playing well. f**k woods off he has no fire, big hairy marshmellow merkin.

We need to drop the pea-hearted f**ks who are automatic selections and think they can walk it in. Woods, Dugan, Hayne, Ferguson, Fifita, who am I forgetting? Maybe these guys had it at one time but they don't anymore. Pearce might not fit that description but we'll be better off when he's forgotten as well.

Complete culture change necessary, start with cutting out those gronks. Get some variety in the game plan, have a plan b and c, get some line speed, wrap up the ball and fire up - understand you are going to have to play your guts out. Don't get complacent.

Yep the current premiership winning Halfback, should not be considered. Pick two running 5/8s that will f**k QLD.

Better still persist with Pearce, stats suggest he has to win a series, 5 losses should produce a win.

NSW obviously need no game manager, just pick running 5/8s......

Weren't many of them in the NSW team which got thrashed 52-6?

I'll give Daley credit. After this series Game 1 win he was talking about how well the team trained. Then he said "I can't tell. We trained really well before the Game 3 defeat in 2015. I just don't know how well they are going to play."

Mitchel Pearce was the current premiership half in 2015 how did that work out for us?

Moylan is the most natural and clutch playmaker NSW have and Maloney is the only half who has consistently shown the ability to create something, they have got the job done before. It would be such a NSW move to pick Townsend because Moylan and Maloney aren't a good fit after they won their only game paired together.

Moylan far more of a ball player than runner btw, Penriths structure seriously limit his options hence he is running the ball much more this season but putting guys through holes is his elite skill.
