*Lyon for Lawrence if fit.

Agree pretty much with this. I'd probably favour Sutton slightly over Soward but there would certainly be no complaints from me if this team was picked.

Gotta agree, pretty close to the money, IMO.

And, pick Sutton over Soward. Soward's got a comp to win & we can't risk injury in a nothing game.

He was ok but this is the fourth consecutive series he has played a part in and has shown anything to suggest he is up to this level. Weyman was poor on Wednesday and I can vaguely see justification for his dropping but at least he has shown more than White over his short career. White's a waste of space when we have Douglas and Tolman available.

I'm no fan of White and after 2008 I thought his time in the Sky Blue was over. However, he's there now and he was one of your better players on Wednesday. I do believe though, that this will be his last series in the Sky Blue.

I rate Weyman, but his last two performances in the Sky Blue have been disappointing. He needs to be sent a clear message and if he's good enough, he'll respond and come back in 2011.

After tonights commentary expect Dragons sycophant and general lollipoper Laurie Daley to be pushing Justin Poores barrow at the selection table

I can understand Weyman being dropped and it's a great outcome for the Dragons anyway...just can't understand White

As far as I'm concerned there are two things that could've saved White from the axe.

* Nothing short of an excellent performance in Game 2.
* For the sake of keeping NSW together for a decider

Seeing as though neither occured (he was only ok) there is absolutely no reason to keep him there. Especially as you said, he's not going to be there next year.

I only made necessary changes to my side based on the performances in Game 2. White doesn't deserve the axe, he was by no means bad like Weyman was who needs to be sent a message.

But yes, by next year, a fair few front row forwards should be ready.

For me I really think Weyman will lift if he has props around him that are showing a lot of aggression and having a real dig. I do agree with you Pete, White was one of our better on Wed, but he has to make room for the better

I dont think I saw White dominate a collision once in that entire 80 minutes. Off the kickoff both Weyman and White set a tone of being dominated from the start.

Doesn't help when no prop is picked on the bench either.

Aye, I just think Weyman stands more to gain in the long run if he's dropped right now.

By keeping White, they stand to send the right messages to the players, eg. if you play solidly you will be retained. Then before Game 1 2011 you go with a bunch of new guys without everybody going 'Ohhh they've dropped another player'.

Yeah you have to keep Weyman, he is our future. He has only really hit his straps over the last two seasons.

He isn't an impact style prop that isn't his game, if he had some players to take the heat off him he would go better.

White is ok and aggressive I think Ben Creagh should be under the most pressure to retain his spot in the forwards. Watmough in for him and Farah in for Gidley on the bench then add another prop or big body like Mason to give us more impact off the bench. It is hard when your only impact player off the bench is TLL.

There's no point keeping somebody when they're not earning their keep. He needs to be sent a message.

Which is why if Petero returns for game 3 it will be either Hannant or more likely Taylor that makes way. Costigan might not be considered a better player by us but he has gotten the job done.

They know that while Taylor is in form he will just have to wait his turn whether it takes 12 months or 2-3 years.

Why isn't Anthony Laffranchi in anyones squads?, In my opinion he is the form backrower of the NRL and has really been under the spotlight all season.

Nsw needs to pick players that have that winning experience and bring in a winning culture to blend with youth. Blokes like Greg Bird at lock, Laffranchi second row, Bailey at prop forward to bring some experience to the front three and I think Mason's form is getting to the vintage stage and i think he could be very damaging off the bench for NSW

I'd field a pack something like.

Bailey
Farah
Douglas
Laffranchi
Gallen
Bird

Lewis
Snowden
Watmough
Mason
