NSW Origin player Blake Ferguson 'in nightclub incident'

POLICE are investigating an incident involving NSW State of Origin player Blake Ferguson.
The incident reportedly occurred at a Sydney nightclub in Cronulla at 10.30pm last night, police have confirmed.
"Police have reviewed CCTV from the location," a police spokesperson said.
"We have interviewed a number of people and inquiries are continuing."
Ferguson, 23, who plays for the Canberra Raiders, has had a string of disciplinary problems this year.
He was suspended earlier this season, fined $10,000 and ordered to undergo counselling after a drinking session with former Raider Josh Dugan.
It now appears Ferguson was catching up with his old mate Dugan – who now plays for the St George Dragons and has just been selected at fullback in the NSW Origin team to replace the injured Jarryd Hayne.
There is word that Josh Dugan and Blake Ferguson have been taken away from the Blues camp at Coogee's Crowne Plaza hotel.

These boys are hysterical. Funnier than clowns. On the verge of a 2.8 mill contract too. Hopefully it's just a beat up.

why don't we wait and see/hear what has actually happened. We are very quick to denigrate.

From reports, Dugan was there, but not involved with no allegations. The fact he was there, everyone assumes he was involved.

Dugan was out drinking with him. You'd think the bloke could just lay low for at least a little while.
Not impressed.

10.30 PM or earlier in a suburban restaurant bar?
He hasn't entered the clergy
Let's just hope he gets through this and stays clear of Ferguson for a while
Seems like one is a catalyst for the other

By being with someone doesn't make you guilty!

Unless it is against the law to be with your mate??

Yes he probaly shouldn't of been on the piss but again he didn't break any laws so leave him alone.

Apparently Dugan was there but not in trouble. Blake is the one who is being questioned.

These guys should defiantely stay away from each other.

Must be small story week.
WOW, what a tragedy ? How could Duges be out so late at 10.30 pm ...
And ohh my... to meet an old friend?
Sack him now, what a disgrace.

Irresponsible jounalism. Since he is NOT the matter of any concern to the cops, WHY raise him name, as opposed to Blake drinking with friends.

Ohh, sorry i forgot. To sell fr... papers.

FMD, leave the guy alone.

Tru, Whilst I do share your sentiments guys like Dugan need to understand that they are in the spot light no matter where they are! especially with their history!

There will be dickheads out there who will try to get a reaction, Dugan or Ferguson could step on an ant and the media and public will cry bloody murder!

It's not fair but it's real, the sooner these guys get to grips with that, the better.

They should have known better than to go to cronulla for a drink, the place is known to be trouble.

They need to think ahead a little...

Buddy i respect your opinion.
Bottom line is as far as we know he did nothing wrong.
They both are close, both wearing the SOO jersey, what is wrong with having a quiet ale?
Dugan has been a great ambassador since comiong to us. From his on field performances, to his interviews on several shows.
He cant dig a hole for months and not rise...
Agree regarding the region, but in reality this is a pissy article to ignite debate and sell papers.
Why should he not have the right, outside of work to have a drink ?
Finished my rant friend, just sick of the targetting. For God's sake, what did these two guys do ?

Agree TruSaint this is definitely a "beat up" by the press. Dugan did NOTHING, I repeat NOTHING and has not be spoken to by the police or anyone for that matter.

If Ferguson goes down over something he did, its still not Dugan's problem. HE DID NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Damn, glad I don't have to front some of you guys anytime soon over a disputed speeding fine or something?? I'd probably get death by lethal injection.................

You are 100% right mate.

They can have their quiet ale, but unfortunately they need to be a little more selective as to where they have it.

Dugan has so far done a tremendous job in restoring trust and respectability to his image, but unfortunately in todays world of social media and the general main stream media... perception is reality. They could have been handing food to the homeless but if someone decides to call up a journo and say Dugan and Ferguson were belting a couple of blokes at a pub what do you think will make the front page?

He does have the right to have a drink oustide of work, it's not his fault there are dickhead journos out there looking for shit to stir...

But that's my point unfortunately, they are out there and he needs to be carefull....

It's the way it works, who's going to tell the media what they can and can't write?

I guess You and I agree that this is a probably a beat up, I'm just saying prevention is beter than cure whn it comes to these types of things.
