I wonder what they'll do next year.

Brett and Josh Morris will return from injury, so will Andrew Fifita.
Blake Ferguson is returning to the NRL.
Dylan Walker is a gun.
Luke Brooks is developing really well.

Morris boys will be straight back in.
Blake probably won't be back in Origin for a season or 2 but along with the likes of Walker, Dugan, Hopoate, Mansour & others NSW have very good depth in the backline.
Brooks is probably a season or 2 off as well but will no doubt be a long term NSW 7.

Big decision for Daley now, do we go all out for a clean sweep (with QLD playing for pride at Suncorp?) or do we look to blood a few players and prepare for the future? Nothing OTT, but a young half on the bench, a young forward or two in the side...

Walker will be there sooner rather than later.

NSW looks to have good depth in the backline over the next 3 to 4 years.

However they have an aging forward pack with most 30 or over. This will be where they have difficulty

Back row will be fine, Cordner, Sirronen, Cartwright and others will come through. Woods, Fifita and Tamou are not old.

Yeah still with woods, cordner young plus guns like Cartwright, klemmer etc shouldn't be a problem

Morris boys are only 28, Hayne and Jennings 26. Dugan, Hoppa, Tupou,Fifita, Tamou, Woods, Hokko, Reynolds are all fairly young still.

The only place NSW should look at maybe blooding someone is in the backrow imo with Hoffman, Scott, Lewis, Gallen, Bird all 30+..maybe Jackson or Graham. Also they gotta identify our next hooker and have him around camp for the next couple years.

Peats should be in the squad for game 3, just to be around camp because I think he is probably our next best hooker. I know he is injured but he only needs to be around the boys and get a feeling for it

I cant think of any other stand out hookers NSW eligible

We will need to be replacing Gallen, Watmough, Lewis, Farah, Hoffman, Scott and maybe Bird over the next 2 to 3 years.

A lot of Origin depth with 7 out of the 10 forwards needing to be replaced around the same time.

Agree on Cordner and Fifita but others mentioned are not currently consistently playing NRL.

There is a big gap to fill in the forwards over the next 2 to 3 years.

Well Fifita and Cordner would have been there. Graham is ready, Jackson maybe. Sirronen is a regular first grader when he's fit now, Cartwright will be next season, if Idris can get himself together he's likely to be a forward, Williams, Klemmer is a full first grader. Mateo is an option. Worst case scenario we have to stoop so low as to pick Fensom somewhere in the transition.

And when Grant goes to the Bunnies he'll be a good chance of coming back into contention.

Agreed peats should be around, looks like the future hooker.

I have to admit, I had doubts over Dugan/Hoppa-long Cassidy defensively coming into last night's game but they were both fantastic. Duges got through plenty of work, as he normally does. Will be interested to see if Hoppa gets picked for game 3 (if he's fit).

Dugan haters can piss off. He was great tonight.
Totally agree you my friend...I reckon eh! Not long ago all the critics was talking about Dugan shouldn't/couldn't/wouldn't be in the team and now some are already talking about replacement for next year lol?? Good old fashion of politicians and the great counsel lol.

Worry about the team next year!

Dugan's first tackle on Inglis (which he crunched him into the turf) was a good indication that QLD were reluctant to spread left at every opportunity.

Another good effort by him, Even if he doesnt end up playing in the squad everytime, it should be certain that he is now an automatic contender for the back five along with the Morris brothers, Jennings and Hayne.
