With the ANZAC Test team announced you'd have to figure that all the NSW players in the team will make the squad so effectively Dugan, Ferguson, Woods, Klemmer, Cordner, Merrin, Boyd and Frizell all make the team which fills 8 spots right off the bat with reserve Maloney also making it into the NSW squad unless he's injured. Maybe this year is the year we put Jake Trbojevic on the bench since he's good enough for the national team.
If you go off the Australian team that's 10 guys already whilst Graham, Jackson, Fifita are some Laurie favourites and will probably be selected also Keeping that in mind the team would look like this:
1. ?
2. ?
3. ?
4. Josh Dugan
5. Blake Ferguson
6. James Maloney
7. ?
8. Aaron Woods
9. ?
10. David Klemmer
11. Josh Jackson
12. Wade Graham
13. Trent Merrin
14. Andrew Fifita
15. Shannon Boyd
16. Tyson Frizell
17. Jake Trbojevic

That really just leaves the spine open, Pearce is the only one really putting his hand up for the halfback position and he'll probably get it, fullback is between Tedesco and Hayne with Moylan probably not making the team this year. Left centre is probably between Dylan Walker who is playing really well, Michael Jennings and Jack Bird whilst the left wing is wide open.
I don't rate Farah at all and hope that Peats gets the nod this year and I'd even prefer Wallace or Josh Reynolds get a run in the number 9 before Farah does.
He played 2 pretty poor games to begin his Origin career. Pearce has played 15 poor games. I keep hearing about NSW needing new blood but now we want to go back to Pearce who has been an abject failure. Why the hell would you give him any more games?
Look at the NSW options for halfback apart from Pearce:
- Adam Reynolds (Just got knocked around by a Manly pack this round, is a good kicker but doesn't bring much more to the table)
- Chad Townsend (Could maybe be solid in the Origin arena but I don't rate him over Pearce)
- Jeff Robson (Just no)
- Luke Brooks (Overrated)
- Nathan Cleary (Too young, not good enough)
- Trent Hodkinson (Openly admits he isn't the player he once was and is playing for one of the worst teams in modern history where he hasn't been able to really standout for them at all)
- Tyrone Roberts (Yeah right)
That's all I can think of. Pearce is head and shoulders above them all, it's not like we have the second coming of JT carving up the NRL each week and Pearce is being picked ahead of him, Pearce is legitimately the best we have.
