They were over 2 years ago. I can't remember him setting any sprint records.

He won't be picked on the wing I can guarantee

Then again Daley is the selector so who the f**k knows

He has been very strong this year on the wing. Making some strong runs out of his own half, always strong under the high ball and he has been there and done it.

Queensland approve of this move. You just know he will drop the ball 3-4 times a game under little pressure.

:p

no gallen or greg bird, but farah will be there so he'll probably stick stink it up again. best thing for him is peats to be selected and no farah to meddle around the ruck.

pearce needs all the merkins who historically get in his way to piss off. 2 are gone, but one will remain.....and it's the one who always gets his hands on the pill before him.

until he can stamp his authority on the team like he does at the rooters, then he'll struggle i reckon. but if cordner is captain as is reported, then he may lay down the law and tell the rest of them to get out of Pearce and Maloney's way. Don't think Robbie will listen though.
You sir are a moron! Mythchell Piss has never got a repeat set at Origin level. Not one. Try blame that on Bird, Gal or Farah.

Has anyone ever blamed Bird?

I thought for all the hatred to the senior core of Blues players, Bird was the least likely to play for himself yet still had big Origin games. At least when he didn't play out of position at 6.

If Hayne had the good fortune to play with a bloke like Pearce he'd have won a premiership by now
If Hayne had played at almost any team other than Eels he probably would. They were the worst run team in the competition for the majority of the past decade. Breaching tge salary cap to sign injury prone duds on huge contracts.

That dude was one strange f**ker. He'd be playing shit for his club and come Origin time he'd morph into unrecognisable. How many MOTM awards has he won now?

this is what your original arguement was against

my response was that he has already done it.

now you're presenting OTHER arguments against, such as corey parker being the test incumbent.

let's be frank, we could counter most but i'm sure you'll still find something to hate

i wrote parker is the standard of an elite middle forward which NSW frankly have failed to match consistently in their selections over the last several years. i wrote merrin was the test incumbent and several other NSW players are selected by Meninga/Hagan for the national team's middle rotation ahead of Jackson.

i never denied Jackson represented for NSW there. I know he had. You assumed I didn't and are now hanging onto that argument. I've mentioned it several times in this thread which is why I specifically referred to Jackson playing in the middle.

there's no hate. I just don't think he's good enough on BOTH sides of the ball to be one of the first picked for NSW which he seems to be, and especially not in the trenches.

he over played his role, like Gallen did. they'd both take 2 carries a set whenever they were on the park. other forwards rarely got a look in between them. i don't doubt his effort, but the problem NSW has had for years were players playing as individuals rather than as a team.

in contrast, QLD rarely had one forward standing out above the rest as they all contributed to the cause, then they got out of the f**king way on 4th and 5th tackles so Smith could get the ball quickly out to Cronk and/or Thurston, and you'd regularly see a winger on the end of a back line move. compared to that, the role of a NSW winger is to run out of acting half early in sets. they hardly see ball on the end of a backline move because it breaks down way too early through poor service out of acting half or Gal or Bird getting in the way one after the ruck, or we select centres such as Jennings and Dugan who don't pass.

all these players have good looking stats in terms of metres gained and number of carries and can be game breakers at club against your average nuffy, but it's the team game that wins matches against elite teams.
