I don't care if Carney is a trouble maker...get him and Mullen in there together. I don't care if Weyman is young and injury prone...get him in there. I don't care if Menzies is old , get him in there. I don't care if Gallen dives...get him in there. I don't care if Ryles isn't rated, get him in there. Ben Creagh, get him in there. FFS!!!

Zillman is a queenslander mate, but outside that, i dont think that team gets beaten. Game III to avoid a white wash, the selectors must ignore reputation and pick on form
BTW Pigskin, he may not be in calculations this season, but before his career is out, Zillman will be a QLD staple

I think Minichiello when 100% is the best fullback in the game though he is equally adapt on the wing and it allows NSW to keep Stewart in the team who was magnificent. The other option is swapping the two during the game.

Running my eye over the depth of outside backs for NSW is scary - minus Gasnier - the talent is thin. Jamie Lyon must not be selected for game three.

Matt King's only saving grace is that he may be given the chance to play in his preferred centre position. He was a liability on the wing and I cannot blame NSW for dropping him entirely.

Don't be surprised to hear more about Luke Lewis. In a struggling Penrith team he has been good and the Tigers Dean Collis my just be a bolter.

Matt Cooper will hold his spot given there is just no other option.

Yes Mullen is also capable of kicking the ball to the fullback on the full 9 times out of 10 as was evident in game 1

Then let carney do the kicking, he has a sublime long kicking game, one of the best in the comp imo, even at his young age

Matt King is a defensive liability. He always comes in when he should be on his man. First try to QLD could have been avoided if he stayed in his position. It was the same story in the last origin game.

Spot on. He is an ordinary winger. Someone should tell him when your inside man moves up, you follow. If they stay back, so do you.

It is extremely unfair to judge Buderus on that game. NSW went out with instructions for Kimmorley to dominate everything, and as a result I dont think Bedsy even got one dummy-half run. He is still the best hooker in the game, as shown by game 1 and every game he plays for the Knights. He made alot of pivotal tackles and gave great service - but was playing with one hand tied behind his back because of the bonehead coach and the need for Kimmorley to prove himself.

that is what I would pick. I think it is a much better balanced team and rids us of alot of dead wood. I prefer Carney at 7 to Mullen at 7 as Carney has a better long kicking game and a more powerful running game, whereas Mullo is an elusive almost Lockyer type.

That side might not win in QLD (and I think its going to take a near miracle to avoid a white-wash) but it is constructed with an eye on the future.

I'd love to see a prop like Payten or Weyman... somebody different. Payten's style might not suit origin, although its worth a try.

I'm surprised that some people are critical of Hayne. Poor service from the halves + a centre who doesn't pass makes it difficult to acheive anything. For that matter, if NSW stick with the 6-7-9 combo I can't see them scoring more than 2 tries. Give carney a break from cleaning the sh*tters at the bingo community hall and we're back in business.
