NSW team lists and insults thread 2018

I like the cut of your jib - that's not a bad team

I would definitely go

1. James Tedesco
2. Josh Ado-Carr
3. Latrell Mitchell
4. James Roberts
5. Nick Cotric
6. James Maloney
7.
8. David Klemmer
9. Damien Cook / Cameron McInnes
10. Reagan Campbell-Gillard
11.
12. Tyson Frizell
13. Jake Trbojevic

14. Damien Cook / Cameron McInnes
15. Paul Vaughan
16. Jack De Belin
17. Wade Graham

But then I get stuck
Other than Maloney, there is no one in the halves who has stood out from NSW
Cleary has been injured and Keary floats in and out of games. Luke Brooks has improved, but Origin improvement? Yeah-nah.

Cordner should be a no brainer, but he has been flat and out of sorts
Who else do we put in the back row? We could put Klemmer on the bench and De Belin into the starting line up but that means Woods comes into the team aaaand nah thanks.

Still up for grabs imo
I've never been a fan of Cordner tbh, I think he's pretty overrated but he should be there this year because of Injuries. Take Graham out of it, he can't be thrown into the SOO arena after having a month out and limited game time heading into SOO. Cordner should get the left edge and have Tariq Sims on the bench although Angus Crichton has been looking pretty good over the last few weeks and could be a bolter.

Oh and keep Woods a million miles away from the team.

I think that injury to Jordan McLean could prove to be very costly for NSW.
So Woods for Graham then - do we have many more choices?
Why did Fifita choose to opt out?

Cordner is probably still the best second rower - who else is there?

Still don't have a half back?
Wayde Graham is unlikely to be fit for Origin 1 due to his dodgy hamstring. He's listed as being out till either Round 12 or 13. So if you pick him there is a chance you would with him not having played for a month or so.

Even then, if you want to knock Cordner's form to date, Graham's was worse when he got injured.

As to your bench, are you planning on bring on Debelin to play for Jake T? I only say that as neither Jake nor Jack have played in positions other than lock or the back row. As such I think it would leave us light in the front row. With the pace Origin is played, I think it would be suicidal to go in with only 1 specialist prop on the interchange bench.

How could he even consider Mitchell the Tank engine. Surely you have to earn a rep jumper, the guy has been in average form for most of the year, will not put his body on the line and turns on his team mates the minute things go wrong. Rubbish of a human, who one day when he grows up might be a good footballer but as for now the Blues should keep well clear of him

That's exactly why they'll pick him
We have a long history of picking out of form players who aren't ready for Origin and then wondering why we fail

Moses is the complete opposite of who you’d want to role model your kids

Cleary is probably the perfect role model for your kids

Could you imagine Moses blowing up at his team mates in origin? laughable

He's eligible for NSW.
Can't remember why, but in past years he's been spoken of as a possible selection for NSW.

Yeah, I was wrong re: Fifita's eligibility and you are correct. Was a write up about it in today's Sydney Morning Herald. As Tonga is classified as a "tier 2" nation, and he'd already played for NSW before playing for Tonga, he is still eligible for NSW. The only problem is he has declared he will play in the mid-season test for Tonga, which is on the same weekend as Origin 2, so he would only be available to play in Games 1 and 3 of this year's series.
