Both games mirrored each other in the way they started - slow start, drop ball and early opposition points. The Matthew's encounter was a close one with the Storm leading early and holding the Panthers out. Most of that time being held out was accounted for with poor ball control. Harry Seijka proved to be the catalyst for correcting the earleir poor form leading the way with 2 tries though his time spent kicking wouldn't be something he remembers fondly about the game, kicking just one goal from five attempts. The final score favouring the Panthers 22-16.

SG Ball were able to extended their lead quite convincingly once they established it and in doing so beat the Storm 54-18. The highlight of the game was a stunning try by Ali Beale that started just 5 metres from their try line, contained a beautiful chip kick and re-gather and was finished off with a swan dive to score in the corner after being heavily pursued.

Harold Matthews: Penrith 22 defeated Central Coast Storm 16
Tries: Harry Seijka 2, Vaipuna TiaKilifi, Tevita Feiloakitau, Thomas Esienhuth
Goals: Harry Seijka

SG Ball: Penrith 54 defeated Central Coast Storm 18
Tries: Ali Beale 3, Ulise Fahina, Matthew Wright 2, John Feiloakitau, Lota Fiiaalii 2, Sam Jones, Senetali Lilomaiiava
Goals: Matthew Wright 5

Wests apparently.

got some updated info....

Harold Matthews was actually 24-12 and Ball 74-14.

The Matthews Cup game was a close one with our boys scoring two tries in the final 10 minutes.

SG Ball were dominant and were up 34-8 at halftime before going on with it in the second half.

Peter Tuiafiso scored his third hatrick in 3 games for the Bulldogs, so he already has 9 tries.

He scored 12 tries in 10 games last year.

That is an impressive record.

I'd be very surprised if the Dogs dont win Ball this year.

I'd be surprised if they don't win either, but Wests isn't exactly tough competition to be honest.

If Penrith get William Beale back and firing with Seijka, they will be a force to be reckoned with as well.

IMO Penrith, Bulldogs, Illawarra, Roosters and Parra will be thereabouts at the pointy end.

I dont see the Roosters doing anything in Ball They will be in the finals because they only play two more quality teams

Raiders looked better than the Roosters on paper and they beat them too Rabbits are better than both of them

Edit: Just noticed your comments switched to HMs Roosters are a good chance in HMs

Dogs are no certainties. I dont think we have had a good challange this year yet.

We shall no more when the likes of penrith, Dogs, parra face off.

As for the Roosters SG Ball team, i am hearing that there is 4 more people to come into there squad. Apparently these guys will make a big diff to the team. (read this on the kennel, no idea how reliable the info is or how good these new faces will be)
