The Broncos have contracted the halfback of my kid's school team, and although it's very early to say at 16 y/o, he definitely looks the goods and is an excitement machine. Remember the name Jayden Beryl, you heard it here first! ;-)

The Broncs sign minimum 3 half backs in every age group. Always have.

the under 20's were almost flawless against the knights tonight. The whole team played brilliantly. Copley and Gagai always looked dangerous with ball in hand. Our forwards were very dominant. The only sour note was Frisby going off with what to looked to be a pretty bad leg injury.

Did anybody else watch the game on the weekend?

In the end we were just out-lasted by the Storm which is understandable when we were missing six starters.

Stand outs...

Baptiste: A mixed game by his standards but still lead the team around through the middle of the ruck and his service generally gave us the advantage.

Mullally: Awesome through the middle, Widnes are in for something special with this kid.

Frei: Stood up when the team really needed him too. 48 tackles and over 100m

I didn't see the game. Yeah the injury/NRL toll is starting to mount for the under 20's and its hurting them. What would the list be now?

Jordan Kahu - Season
Louis Frisby - Bad leg injury
Lachlan Maranta - Lengthy knee injury
Dale Copley - Regular NRL
Corey Norman - Fringe NRL (and may be there for a while given Hunt's injury)
Chris Kudriani - what happened to this guy? He was playing well, is he injured or dropped?

Broncos up 22-4 vs Panthers at half time

Tries to Gagai, Baptiste, Cullen, Whitchurch. Gagai named at fullback, should suit his style much more than centre.

Gagai just had his typical game.
1 Try, 2 line breaks, and he was the top meters gainer out of both teams with 138m.
Baptiste scored two tries as well.

Some good strong runs. Looks like he could even play a little wider in the second row and do some real damage.

under 20's went down 36-26 against Manly. Given that the NRL team is under strength that implies the under 20's would be under strength as well. Anyway see the game? Saw that Hegarty grabbed a hat-trick, was he impressive?

Unsure who's at the game tonight - possibly AuDragon or Country Bronco but we won't know until later. I can tell you reporting on mobile is an absolute b***h at sporting events.

All up we're missing...

Lachlan Maranta
Jordan Kahu
Dane Gagai
Dale Copley
Corey Norman
Kurt Baptiste
Benn Malley

Mind you the Sea Eagles have a few of their eligible players playing in the NSW Cup/NRL so that kind of balances things out.
