What's doing with Mullally BP? Surely not dropped? Did some research and couldn't find any injury reference either.

Flogged 46-16 against a red-hot Eels side.

Faamita, J. Wallace, Smith and Frei looked like stand outs.

All up we were missing...

Maranta, Whitchurch, Gagai, Copley, Leedy, Norman, Mullally and Baptiste.

Pretty extensive list right there.

But to be fair, Parra were missing a few players too in Gagan, Jennings, Semanufangi, O'Hanlon, Einsuth and Asiata. But they still had their starting spine so that made all the difference in the end.

Interesting to note the absence of five eigth Corey Norman. Is he injured? He hasn't been named in the Q Cup either.

Might be having a run for Norths.

Good Seagulls, he and Hunt should have been there from the start.

Yeah, I can see Baptiste moving down if Griffin opts for Hunt on the bench. That'd be a major boost for the 20's.

Brisbane Broncos 32 (Dale Copley 2, Jarrod Wallace, Lachlan Maranta, Bryce Hegarty and David Faamita tries. Goals: Mitchell Frei 1/2, Daniel Wallace 3/4 defeated Gold Coast Titans 16

Boosted by the return of five top-line players the Broncos were able to reaffirm their position in the top eight running out 16 point winners against a spirited performance from the lowly placed Titans.

Stand out players statistically were...

1. Dane Gagai
3. Dale Copley

Former Broncos junior Luke Page had a strong game for the Gold Coast Titans.

Time to update...

In Round 20 we were comprehensively beaten by a strong Melbourne outfit 30-16. Matt Smith off the bench was very strong for the Broncos.

In Round 21 we lost a heartbreaker against the Sharks 35-34. The boys fought back from a 12 point defecit in the final 10 only to have a field goal scored against them in the final minute. Stand-outs include Corey Norman, J. Wallace, K. Baptiste, Coombe, Frei and Smith.

In Round 22 we play the top of the table Warriors in a crucial game in the make up of our season.

The team lines up as follows...

1. Dane Gagai
2. Lachlan Maranta
3. Bryce Hegarty
4. David Faamita
5. Matthew Berwick
6. Louis Frisby
7. Corey Norman
8. Jarrod Wallace
9. Kurt Baptiste
10. Stephen Coombe
11. Benn Malley
12. Daniel Wallace
13. Mitchell Frei

14. Matt Smith
15. Anthony Mullally
16. Daniel Alvaro
17. Mboya Adams

If any of you attend the game I'd appreciate a match report.

Brisbane Broncos 26 (Dale Copley 3, Dane Gagai, Matt Berwick; Daniel Wallace 1/3 Goals, Mitchell Frei 2/2 Goals) drew Warriors 26

The surprising thing to come out of this match is that the result can be considered a disappointment. Considering we're currently 10th and the Warriors are the defending premiers and competition leaders, you'd think this result would be welcome but considering the boys were up by 20 early in the second half to surrender that lead was very disappointing and just about sums their season up.

Obvious stand out was Copley who's just too good for this division and Corey Norman who was instrumental in our early lead having a hand in a couple of our tries. Other stand-outs include Gagai, J. Wallace and Frei.

Yup, pretty much says it all really. I was at the game, but missed the first 15 mins. Copley stands out so much, it's not funny!
Norman was very good (excellent kicking game, including a 40/20) as was Gagai.

Have to say there was pretty crappy refereeing going on during the Warriors blitz, who put all their big units in at the same time, while our boys were dropping off tackles left, right and centre.
Still, an illustration of U20's inability to maintain concentration and intensity during the 80 minutes.

We have a pretty easy run home after the Cowboys: Newcastle, Souths and Manly. We will probably have to win every game to make the finals though.

But with Copley, Norman, Gagai and Baptiste in the team we SHOULD be able to get it done assuming we beat the Cowboys. Based on our form, even with our players back from injury, I don't see it happening though :x.

With those 4 playing really no reason why you can't beat any team in the comp. Hopefully Cowboys can stand up and get the win but I wouldn't be surprised to see it go either way.

Big win for the Broncos who revitilise their NYC aspirations. With Newcastle, South Sydney and Manly to play their fate sits firmly in their hands.

The Broncos now sit one point outside the top 8. They would be hoping (but not critical) that the Sharks knock over the Doggies tonight.

To give themselves a good chance they probably need to win their remaining 3 games. If they are very lucky they could get away with 2 out of 3. They have a good for and against which might help.
