So next year we have:

The Dolphins: year one team, paper thin roster with ageing pack
The Tigers: reigning spooners, star signings that look like they are going to phone it in
The Dragons: 80% of the team seemingly have more important things to do
The Warriors: are the Warriors
Manly: Have owners that make Mohawk look smart and star player with glass hamstrings
The Broncos: Fold like a pack of cards and their star forward wants out

The Dogs and Titans are going to be getting hopeful about the 8 at this rate.

Scott Penn now has Robinson covered comfortably, went on channel 9 last night to give an interview basically goading Hasler.

"We have a premiership-winning team," Penn said.

"What we need is a football department that can get us back there as quickly as possible."

shut your mouth you clown. Also spoke about how Des left in 2011 so obviously this dickhead wants some payback

Yeah it’s pretty self destructive

Obviously Seibold wants a job but walking into this shit fest you’d be on a hiding yo nothing

Will Shaun show up for the pay check or his legacy?

Could not make the kiwi squad, rightly so, went from Monty Porter medallist to pay check guy.

Does he have anything left?

Melbourne will be interesting next year - pack has been gutted, but still a tremendous spine, and a great, albeit cynical, system...

Manly interesting too, can they really recover from this?

My bet is Melbourne yes, Manly no, though they’ll win a few for as long as Turbo manages to stay fit

Seems like the brothers are pretty disgruntled... I am surprised Jake is in the Aust squad tbh...
Can’t blame them, Manly is a mess but they’re local boys and would probably only leave as a package deal, so not sure they’re that likely to jump.

I’m not seeing too much change to the top 8 next year at this rate- mainly because the other teams are all basket cases in one way or another.

The lads won’t be going anywhere, those articles are basically reprints of what they wrote a few years back

The top 8 will come down to injury luck. When the finals started this year, most teams only had 3-4 guys out injured, Melbourne had 8 and dropped from a comfortable 2nd to missing the top 4 based on that. For the last few rounds of the season, Manly for example, had 12 missing

as for Manly, backline still good, youngsters coming through are promising. Pack a bit light though and hooker still an issue. They were sitting in the 8 this season with 7 rounds to go minus Tom for most of the year so they could slide back in there if things roll their way

Wow this seems a crazy call for Manly. Especially when Seibold is their apparent man... Talk about a horrible decision on paper.

Manly don't have a premiership squad with no Turbo. The guy is so good and is worth so much cap, when he keeps missing half seasons they go from a top 4 side to a middling team at best. DCE didn't carry the team this year like he normally does, and is getting past his best. The succession plan in Schuster had a massive step back this season, and they cut solid vets in Foran, Walker and Taupau, for little in replacement. I understand Hasler wanted these guys, but got over called. Now he's sacked for the biggest joke of a coach going. Oh, and the main guys in the squad love Dessy.

This will either be a masterstroke no one saw coming, or the biggest management fail of 2023.

Anthony "I'm the victim, blame everyone else" Seibold makes Ricky Stuart look level headed.

Maybe that will work for Manly's "us against them" mentality that often drives them.........but on this occasion I doubt it.
