2012 the last time India lost a series at home

If we finish it off, I can’t really think of any better series wins in the last 30 years
Huge upset, aside from the Australian hump this team has done more than we could have dreamed tbh

I was happy it was Southee that took that last catch as well, while others bugger off around the world chasing money, he has stuck rock solid with NZC

Will enjoy this win because I don’t see a lot coming through to replace this batch in the next 4-5 years, especially in the batting department

we've blooded Ravindra now and maybe hes the anchor to build the team around as the others drop off through retirement and form. I dont follow the domestic scene so couldnt tell you who the next up and comers are - for tests anyway. Seem to be a few kicking around for 20/20 and one dayers. Considering how much the girls got each (256k) for winning the 20-20 World Cup, you cant begrudge players concentrating on the bash game.

20/20 Womens Cricket
Americas Cup team
Olympic Cycling team?
Olympic Kayaking 4s?

im trying to think of "Teams"
Been in the US for a month… nobody gives a shit about the America’s Cup, and I certainly don’t. The women’s cricket was great, but this is next level…. Think with the olympics the individuals stood out more? Just my view, but they’d had more home series wins back to back than anyone ever, and we beat them… and tests are hard to fluke

yeh, the americas cup was a complete non event with a lot of kiwis. I did a poll within my team and none of them knew much about it at all. I dont think anything else matches up either.

He's not learning anything new now. We know what he is. I just hope he took a haircut...in terms or his pay, not his hair.
ironic that the try of the year was the Coates one against him when he actually made some sort of an effort to get to him.

I think the White Ferns probably win the Halberg even though I think the Black Caps' achievement is greater.

At the same time I'd feel weird about the Black Caps winning it because I feel like they have been pretty crap for the last 3 years and I'm not convinced that this series win fundamentally alters the trajectory that the team is on.

TNZ won team of the year in '17 when they won the AC in Bermuda and interest wasn't great then either given the downer in San Fran a few years earlier. So I wouldn't put it past them winning the next award, and I think they'd be deserved winners too.

The cricketers - men and women - obviously pulled off a couple great wins recently, but in footy parlance, both were well against the run of play weren't they. I mean if they both did over tomorrow, it'd take a brave punter to back em in again.

Whereas the yachties not only became the first team to defend the AC in the modern era, they've also been the benchmark in their event for a long time, and against immensely better funded opposition.

Halbergs have always had an Olympic bias though, so the Black Fern 7s, kayak 4s or kayak pair will probably win the team award. And Carrington will $1.01 for the big one.

Addo-Carr reportedly about to be sacked by the Dogs

His charges aren’t near the level of Ezra Mam’s effort so does that put any extra scrutiny on how Brisbane handle it ?

Broncos have always had their own rules…. Of course as a young half if they sacked him there’d be huge demand from other clubs, so I’d expect the apology acknowledging a problem and rehab etc…. That’s understandable I think

They seem to have some issues up there though

Yeah, it does...but having said that, if it was Crichton (big stretch, I know) that was on the drugs charges, would the Dogs be pushing to sack him? We all know how Gus rolls, the answer is pretty well no. Obviously a vastly different situation but this stuff always reminds me of when the Titans sacked Kevin Proctor for vaping and posting it online. It was to their benefit to sack him, so they did. If he was at the peak of his Melbourne power, they wouldn't have.

To that order, Brisbane won't sack Mam because he's a generational talent and they can't afford to lose him, only to see another club swoop straight in. They need him to win premierships. I think it'll be a half-season, big $$ sort of fine.

Yep, they do. Madge is the guy to address that, as long as Brisbane give him enough power to be so. To be fair, most of them revolve around Walsh and Mam, with a bit of Cobbo's lazy attitude thrown in (plus the fact their pack is incredibly bog average).
