how do you see that - good player, falling out with Benji seems understandable
The Canberra version of Bateman or something close to it, great signing, currently who knows. Risky as the bloke can’t see out a deal

He is the exact player we are short of though so it is well worth a nudge and could push them up a notch if it all comes together

good old Danny eh... f**king weirdo.

I've just dug Howarth's book out, as he was the tour's coach. Pringle was a shocker. He was in on the smoking but let the others take the fall.

In hindsight, they should've all left it be. Holed up in rural Paarl, no cricket through rain, a Christmas 'costume' party (I can see a 'Rasta' in blackface), and a bit of SA 'bush' weed out the back.

On that tour If marijuana was used before, or after, that party then it should've been reported. But it appeared to be a one-off.

Thank god it didn't destroy Fleming's career.

Would have been a complete waste tbh, and given what the Windies, England and Stray got up to off field, at the light end of things...

Howarth was practically an alcoholic, too, I don't see why a fuss was made, and hanging out Flem, Nash, and Hart (as I recall), three talented youngsters, was poor - pretty much did end Hart's career I think

Yeah, it was awfully handled. I think a lot of people held grudges for a long time, Danny Morrison was ostracised (probably would have been on the outer, anyway), Pringle I think was tarred as well, Fleming wore some heat he didn't deserve as a young man, and it certainly didn't help Matt Hart's career.

I've known guys who have played at that level for a long time, and honestly when you hear some of the goings-on particularly through the 90s and 00s, a bit of Mary Jane is completely at the low end of things.

Sivo scored 104 tries in 115 games (and 50 in his last 48 when he was "declining") but seemed to spend a lot of his career being treated as a laughing stock, at least by LU punters. I know scoring tries is only half his job but he was an incredible finisher who consistently scored from positions others wouldn't.

Meth to go on a celebration drinking tear over the long weekend

My main issue is that he’s a starter. He is ok as a depth squad member but we are determined to play him over young players with way more upside. I get that those in charge of their development may not consider them to be ready in 2024. But I’ll warn you in advance, I’ll be livid if we get the same old Ford in 2025 with the likes of Laban, Sifakula and Halasima playing NSW Cup

I'm more anti him than you I think, as I think he's terrible as squad depth. Squad depth should be NZers, not journeyman Aussies, that's taking up precisely the position that you'd expect to be filled by NZers.
