He'll go to the team that offers the most money, let's not kid ourselves
I'm pretty sure he's capped as a UFA...

Yeah just read up on it... Teams can only offer him the NFL minimum guaranteed wage... And a signing bonus capped at $80K.

So everyone will be offering the same money...

It's gonna come down to development, Lifestyle and chance of winning that ring...

Nek minute... He signs with the Browns...

These Collins type situations are where i hope Chip Kelly can really give the Eagles an advantage
He's used to selling himself to prospects who are all kinda of the same level

The sell should be.

Hi, this is Jason peters, he was a UDFA and will be the single greatest mentor you could ask for. If that isn't enough motivation so be it

The goal is to sell Collins on the Dolphins and get him to sign the three-year, $1.58 million contract every NFL team can offer him.

Every team can offer the same contract to Collins, but creative teams can offer him a fully guaranteed deal and possibly make a gentleman's agreement to cut him after his second season instead of making him an exclusive rights free agent. Doing so would allow him to become an unrestricted free agent.

By not getting drafted in the first round, Collins has lost at least $6 million in guaranteed money, and possibly double that.

Such bad luck for him (if he's completely innocent). Really couldn't have come at a worse time.

Dolphins could do with him, hope we can pull it off

As a Dolphins fan I hope he signs with the Dolphins too!

I'm sure management will be in his ear to let him know if he doesn't already know that there is no income tax in Florida. But there are also 5 other teams that can offer him that as well.

Not hard to sell the sunny weather of Florida.

Plenty of former LSU team mates already in the team.

The Dolphins have a genuine need for a guard and would walk into the position.

There's no guarantees with Brandon Alberts fitness going forward so he's every chance getting the left tackle starting role in the next few years where he can really get a huge pay check.

If the Dolphins can pull this off it we'll have been the greatest off season in Dolphins history with all the great buying before the draft.

Exciting times Dolphin fans....... Finally!

The Dolphins are gonna be interesting to watch this season....

That defence will certainly come on with Suh there.... But I'm interested to see what happens with Tannehill.

I find him an interesting guy.... I've saw him absolutely torment us in London last year... He's such a gifted guy....

I think Dorsett is going help stretch the field for the offence... It's gonna be up to Tannehill to take advantage of it.

Was hoping Bengals would get him as he's best friends with Jeremy Hill (played together in HS and LSU) and could've learnt from an ex LSU Tackle in Andrew Whitworth but seeing as we drafted 2 tackles in the first 2 rounds that won't happen. I think he'd be a great fit for a team like the Colts, good young team with veteran leadership plus he could contribute right away for a Super Bowl contender

That's what everyone said 2 years ago when they signed Ellerbie after winning a SB, Mike Wallace etc.

You're right, we have been a bit of a basketcase for years.

I've still got doubts over Tannehill. Not like there's anyone else available though. Big year for him this year, got some decent weapons for once.

Imagine how much more upset Withworth would be if we did that.

Yeah for sure the Dolphins have had plenty of false dawns Big Mick.

I can't disagree with that.

But they've drafted really well the past two drafts and had a really good free agency and if they were to pick up a home run by getting Collins the squad will be looking like the real deal to get to the playoffs.

It's going to be a really hard division this year as it has been a bit of an arms race and all teams in the division have been doing some great things in the off season.
