how about this. Watson is not the best batsman in the world. He is a decent bowler though, but he's an idiot. His general attitude and mentality should be enough to make him undesirable as a member of any team

Hashim Amla is one of the best batsmen in the world at the moment, he is not a bowler by any stretch of the imagination, but he practices bowling and would be happy to pick up the ball whenever the captain will let him (but he knows that with the world class bowling attack South Africa has, he would rarely be a desirable bowling option). He is a team player and not a turd sandwich like Watson. However, someone of his ability, you could forgive for refusing to bowl. Watson, however, doesn't deserve a spot in a team he refuses to be a team player in.

Kallis has chronic back problems, yet still often bowls, again because he is not a turd sandwich and someone of his class would be entitled to do whatever they like. The point is Watson is a turd sandwich

my point is that if he wants to play test cricket as a batsman only, he should be told to piss off. No one gets to do that, even people whose teams include the best bowlers in the world (which might I add, Australia's doesn't). When Australia's team did include the world's best bowlers, guys like Ponting and Waugh who were Australian captains still had to bowl sometimes, and if they were better bowlers, they would have bowled a lot more

he should know he cant get a game purely as a batsman but arrogant a stupid enough to try and convince the selectors he is good enough

and more of the lols being rolled out by the fossil, Haddin to tour England and may play as a specialist batsman, possibly at the expense of Oozi

the way things should be. Limited over cricket can die and tours can all be 5 tests each. I actually have no problems with ODIs. So in my ideal world, each cricket playing country competes in at least four bilateral tours a year consisting of 5 tests and 3 ODIs. T20s can still exist but only in those stupid tournaments like the IPL and big beat off and only for retired test players to make millions of dollars for their post-retirement life

Mate the kid is great at the short stuff,but he needs to prove himself in the real stuff..

Warner had scored Shield tons,& tons for Australia A,in the lead up to his selection..

I like Finch,but until he can perform in the long form of the game he shouldn't be on the selection radar..
