Ualesi, will he make the next level?

Very hard to say. He is only 21 this year and has already played first grade (debuted in round 26 last year). Has good size and can play on the edges (at least at NSW Cup level) but doesn't seem very explosive.

I'd say he will at least be hanging around the NRL squad (at one club or another) for the next few years, which means he's always a chance of making a few more NRL appearances. I can't see him becoming a regular first grader anytime soon though.

I guess it depends where he ends up, but Parra have younger and more talented options at the positions Ualesi plays. He's been leapfrogged by Tanginoa and Pauli this year, plus Moeroa has been 18th man for first grade a couple of times. At least he (Ualesi) was ahead of Brenden Santi I guess.

The Knights' 'academy' is finally in full swing in Bennett's third year.

Our 'academy' is doing well too but injuries have hurt us across all grades - a few weeks ago we were first in NYC and NSW Cup, and top four in the NRL. Now we're only 4th, 2nd and 10th.

Some crucial members of the #'Academy' are out of action at the moment.

Ryan Matterson - Suspension
Kaysa Pritchard - Injury
Zach Dockar-Clay - Injury
Josh Aloiai - Injury
John Folau - Injury
Joey Lussick - Injury

Wenty is also missing Justin Hunt, who awful NRL game against Penrith or not, was an important member of our NSW Cup squad. Ryan Morgan and one of Terepo, Allgood and perhaps Lussick would also be there if Manu wasn't out of action.

The significance of our injury toll has not been as visible this year due to Hayne's good health but we have been stretching the resources thin in our lower grades for a while now.

Some notable inclusions this week.

Fabian Goodall returns to the NSW Cup after some time back in the Holden Cup while John Folau makes his return from an elbow injury in the centres.

Tepai Moeora is named in the starting backrow for Wenty for the second time this year, hopefully he actually gets a run this time around!

Taunaola Kei is also named on the bench after getting a promotion from the Ron Massey Cup. No clue on how he goes unfortunately.

*Edit* Fui Fui Moi Moi, Joseph Ualesi and Kelepi Tanginoa are notable omissions based on recent Wenty lineups.

If Loko has been released for this season do you think they will elevate Ualesi to the top squad 40?

As this stage, I would be leaning towards no. Ualesi was killing it earlier in the season when he was playing outside Sandow but has fallen off recently (as too have Wenty mind you).

I still rate him pretty highly and reckon he might get the job done if promoted but I don't think the club would be rushing to elevate him assuming Loko was released.

If Loko is gone we suddenly have a fair presence in the player market and I doubt we would want to waste it by rushing to upgrade a handy NSW Cup player.
