Good to get the 2 points today, it keeps us in the hunt for the top eight.

I still struggle to see us as a finals threat as we lack the stability in the halves and the respect for the ball to challenge Cronulla/Windsor/Norths etc...we will definitely be relying on X-factors like Edwards and Mau to make the difference and that just isn't enough.

Should be a penalty to Manly for Wenty passing from the ground there but the ref calls it back for a play-the-ball. A real head scratcher there there.

Thing is, he passed it because he was being pushed over the sideline. Would the ref have penalised Manly if he hadn't passed it? Probably not. Which means the tackle hadn't been completed.

If the tackle wasn't completed then he's entitled to pass the ball, but it's often touch-and-go whether or not the tackle is completed.

Good call by the ref. I reckon if in doubt they should just hand the ball back to the tackled player for a play-the-ball. Penalties are too much of a game changer for them to be awarded in a line ball situation.

The defence straight after they scored to take it out to 14-6 was brilliant. Mau, Maafu and Lasalo were very strong. Mau and Edwards should push for the top grade.

O'Hanlon was strong as well. 29 tackles and 17 hit ups.

how soft is he???? Out for 4 weeks for that???? I bruise my liver every weekend and i am back and ready the week after for more. Wow we know why sticky refuses to pick him.

Starting IMO makes a big difference as well. He isn't a bench player as he doesn't have the impact the likes of Ma'u and Edwards would have. He is a player like Hindmarsh that can play the whole eighty and get through a lot of work. And that isn't to suggest that he is as good as Hindy. He is more effective used over a long period.

The club probably won't make a decision on him till late in the year when they know how much they can spend on the 2nd tier cap, however I have doubts whether we'll take the kid on again as he hadn't applied himself very well to full time training, and was one of few players sent to train for wenty before the start if the year...

Pretty much, remember Darren Alberts? didn't even last Sticky's first off season with the Sharks, was gone by 2007 even though he was still contracted.

No mate we're not... It is 1 tier below state cup, yes and apparently Ricky wants some of the boys to get some time under their belt as state cup have a week off.
