Good charge from Lasalo, followed by his partner in crime - Vaeau.

Mullaney gets a good ball from McKinnon and tries to force his way over but he loses it over the line for a 20m restart.

There is some great heads up footy by Mataela there! He strips the football one-on-one from Vidot and then earns a penalty as Vidot tries to get it back.

Wenty on the attack now.

Wasted chance as Mullaney can't hold onto a pass from dummy half. The ball wasn't great but it wasn't awful either, poor hands from Mullaney.

Illawarra scrum 10m out from their line.

Hah, now Illawarra lises it coming out from their half.

McKinnon goes close with a strong run but is pulled up by some tough defence.

Mataele is not to be outdone though! Following up on McKinnon's bustling effort, Mataele absolutely refuses to be tackled and fights his way over from 10m out.

Incredible effort by Mataele.

Fluke add the two points.

Frenetic game as the defensive effort from both teams has left a lot to be desired.

Wenty kick the ball on the last from Illwarra's 40m line as Parata finds the grass. The kick chase is solid but two tackles later, Vidot steals some good metres to undo some of the good work.

Illawarra close out their set with a good kick and Wenty play it out from their red zone.

Ma'afu provides us with a good run and we complete our set with a good kick and chase.

Oh dear! There was some ball watching by Wenty's big men and Cook received an offload and ran straight between them. Illawarra were going to score for all money but a long, loopy final pass is ruled forwards.

Wenty scrum 10m out from our line.

Herekutukutuku loses the ball early immediately in the first tackle.

Illawarra scrum 10m out from our line.

Illawarra attack our left-edge from the scrum, giving Vidot time and space but Cecil MacKenzine and Dom Reardon contain him perfectly and drive him touch ingoals for a 20m restart.

Vaeau makes a good run to get us into an ideal position for a kick. Fluke sends it up towards our left but the Cutters are up to the task and come down with the ball.

Illawarra gun for a 40/20 but it is way off the mark.

There are some good metres up for grabs from dummy half for Wenty. McKinnon kicks it from dummy half but slips in the process and the result is bog ordinary.

Fortune shines on Wenty though as Illawarra lose it immediately.

End to end stuff now, bloody hard to call!

Illawarra charge down a kick and regather it to pinch half the length of the field. The Cutters look to keep attacking but Vidot loses it and Parata is on hand to dive on the loose ball.

Wenty then go on the attack, marching back into Illawarra's half before receiving a penalty.

However from the tap restart a short ball is ruled forwards and Wenty lose possession. The call looks to be awful on replay.
