I didn't think Peni and Junior would qualify for the finals but they are massive boosts for Wenty. With their inclusions the pack looks menacing.

Parata has a done a good job in the halves whenever he has been asked to play there, he also has the option of shifting the focal point of an attack to Mullaney.

Here is the Newton line up:

1. Henare Wells
23. Pierce Sapsford
3. Yileen Gordon
4. Michael Oldfield
5. Paul Rokolati
6. Adam Henry
7. Ryley Jacks
8. Ray Moujalli
9. Kurt Kara
10. Khalid Deeb
11. Ryan Verlinden
12. Brad Barrett
13. Tinirau Arona

14. Andrew Pearn
16. Josh Ailaomai
17. Saulala Houma
18. Nafe Seluini

Clicky

Wenty have a damn good chance of taking this game out.

If any of you merkins have the spare time you should get out to Leichardt for the game!

They lost a good player when Dylan Napa was called up to first-grade. I believe Kane Evans is also missing through injury. Both of them were a large part of the early season carve up that Newtown inflicted on us. I would go so far as to give us an edge in the two named packs for the weekend, unless there are any late inclusions for Newtown.

Hopefully our boys are hungry for revenge on the weekend.

If we knock Newtown out we play the loser of the Cronulla-vs-Windsor match.

Hold on, the roosters play on Saturday so I wouldn't be surprised if there's some late inclusions for them on Sunday, I haven't seen their side but I imagine there'd be an 18th and 19th man

A few dark clouds around Leichardt but the weather is still pleasant.

Charlie Herekutukutuku is warming up in #19 but I can see Mullaney, Parata and Fluke out there as well so either it is precautionary or I'm missing something.
