Surely Jnr Paulo will get a bench spot soon instead of the waste of space that is Allgood.

Allgood fills the role of the hard working prop in our team - he was a direct swap for Mannah yesterday.

Junior Paulo is more of a power runner, meaning he is competing with Moimoi and Terepo for a spot in our pack.

Anyway, Lussick will replace Allgood when he comes back.

Comedy of errors from Wenty on that play. Kelly's cutout ball travels behind a flat attacking line before Cummins picks it up and immediately drops it.

Wenty have held Penrith out after Nabuli is able to bat the ball back from the bomb.

Hunt was in position to field the second kick but was taken heavily in the tackle and is down for a short moment.

Some enterprising play in this set as Kelly chips for Cummins early in the count on the right edge. The kick is perfectly weighted and Cummins is off with two Panthers in pursuit. He commits them to him and tries to offload to Morgan on the inside but the ball just hasn't got enough power and Morgs drops it on his bootlaces.

Campbell-Gillard has a monster carry for Penrith in this set which gives them the opportunity for an attacking kick.

Hunt is at fullback with Cummins on the wing as Hunt drops the bomb which is dived on by a Penrith chaser.

Naiqama continues his run on the kicking tee.

Penrith lead Wenty 42-22

79min gone.

Cummins takes a nice intercept on the right wing but is run down without any support.

Wenty with one last attack. Santi nearly scores before the hooter with a nicely angled run but the play ends and the ref calls full time.

Full Time

Penrith dft. Wenty 42-22

Some good individual efforts today but the team made far too many errors on the whole. After a great start to the season this should serve as a reminder that they need to aim up every week.

He isn't small. Just a bit of a bludger IMHO.

Bludger is spot on and I'll add Allgood is gutless. The amount of times he'd aim up with a good run was when there was 2 mins left and we had been thrashed. But when the heat is on he's nowhere to be seen.

He's in the team for his defence. Why would we want him making more runs when he's not that good at it?

The beauty of attack is that you can make sure your best runners hog the ball. There's no need for the plodders to get more involved than they need to be.

Mitch Allgood was our most effective central defender again yesterday. And he doesn't break the bank.

He's a good back up and every squad needs them.

Cant wait to see what Mossop brings to the table.

Kelly had some really nice runs of play but didn't dominate the game. Sandow was much stronger for Wenty comparatively.

Wenty had something of makeshift spine today with Justin Hunt playing 5/8 then fullback and Evander Cummins fullback then wing.

Some of the young guys held their heads high in a sloppy team showing.

Ualesi clocked in another great game. He spent some time at prop and held his own against a good Penrith front row. Can't ask more from this kid and he has shown that he is productive on the edges and in the middle.

Santi overcame a nasty high shot to piece together a great all-round game. He was typically courageous in defence but he also had a good game in attack. I would love to see him bulk up just a bit more but his on field attitude is top notch.

Junior Paulo was dominant at prop. The only other bookend to come close to him today was Reagan Campbell-Gillard for Penrith, who had an awesome second half. There were a couple of errors from the mountain-that-strides today but he made massive inroads in attack and showed some good hustle in defence.

Bureta Faraimo did some great things today. He really upped his involvement both in the ruck and on the edge and was solid under the high ball. Stagger made a valid point that he takes some time to wind up for a run so if the club can improve his ~5m acceleration he will be at a much better player.

Finally, Ryan Morgan did well on the right edge. He had limited opportunities to show his class but continues to show that he is a cut above the NSW Cup. He won't unseat Tonga or Hopaote as it is but will be come it at the drop of a pin if either are injured or earn representative selection.

gee different report on Kelly from the other site

Ham is an astute contributor over there and called it as he saw it so fair play.

I thought Kelly did some nice things, he laid on a slick ball for Ualesi to score, fired away some good bombs and scored a decent try but he was far from dominant.

While Sandow was at Wenty he owned the right edge. There were times when he drifted out of the each game but for the majority of his three games in the NSW Cup he took control of his portion of the team and brought home six competition points.
