Cummins creates a nice attacking raid for Tangira and Faraimo with a great pass but Penrith defuse the following kick well.

Santi gets involved in repeat tackles as he cuts down several Panthers before misfortune strikes for Wenty as Penrith score a long range try that involved two forward passes.

Naiqama continues his conversion streak.

Morgan is just short of scoring after a ball from Cummins which means Wenty have to come back to the left.

There isn't much room that way so they build towards a nice run of play on the right.

Kelly finds Ualesi with a nice ball and the young backrower fights his way over. The ref is happy that there wasn't a double movement and points to the spot.

With Foran off the field Rawalui takes over the kicking duties but he channels Joseph Paulo there and misses a relatively simple attempt.

Santi is playing well in the start of the second half and adds another good carry to his name.

Kelly nails the bomb on this attempt and it Naiqama can't track it properly and Morgan cleans up his knock on.

Wenty squander the chance though as Ma'afu gets a bit greedy with his offload to Rawalui and it rolls into touch.

Penrith scrum 10m from their goal line.

Shocking kick from Penrith to complete that sets sees Rawalui get the ball on half way.

Kelly is directing play nicely and nearly puts Cummins through a hole but the livewire fullback is jsut tackled.

Luke takes the ball on the next play and kicks it towards the post. It looks like he was fishing for a deflection but it rolls dead for a 20m restart.

Penrith pick up a late penalty in the count to take play to Wenty's 30m line.

Wenty jam well on the right edge and force an error on the short ball from Penrith.

Important play there.

Kelly plays his hand perfectly again and gives Morgan a world of space to move.

He is nimble on his feet and leaves his opposite grasping for air as he pushes through the line.

Morgan has support on the inside but Naiqama has committed to the intercept and knocks the ball down. He should have gone himself there.

Wenty scrum.

Lots of traffic down our right edge in this set but we can't cross the white stripe.

Kelly takes matters into his own hands as he shapes to kick back infield but fakes out and runs back to the right. He steps through a few defenders and crosses 10m in from touch.

Hunt is the kicker on this attempt and hits it sweetly.

Dunno, I agree Jnr Paulo should get a go but still prefer Allgood to Sef.

There is a massive difference between what the 2 of them offer. Sef can play any of the 3 backrow spots, or 5/8 in a pinch, while Allgood is nothing more than a prop.

Joseph Paulo tends to play 'through the middle third', with his main MO being 'meterage' early in the tackle count. I realize he skips around like a girl, and dodges sideways, but he consistently makes yardage in tackles 2-4, and presents himself as an 'option' should our set play break down inside the 20 and the ball finds its way back to him in that middle third. He can hold it out in front of him, skip like a pansie, and attempt to put someone else through a gap.

He's certainly not a game breaker, but he is a far more effective yardage guy than Allgood, who offers very little in that regard.
For mine, Allgood is done as an NRL player - a bit too small, and not powerful enough.

Lasalo with the hit up from the kick off. He is followed with an energetic carry by Ualesi who is getting well involved in the middle.

Santi isn't to be outdone and gives us one last great carry before coming off.

There is another great bomb on the last but Zelezniak takes it well. Morgan's chase is top notch though and he traps him in goal for a drop out.

Kamikamica is on for Santi and has a good first hit up.

Faraimo tries to drive over from dummy half but much like Junior in the first half he has lost the ball.

Penrith scrum 10m out from their goal line.

Wenty give away a penalty late in the set for not making the 10m which gives Penrith the ball 20m from our goal line.

Penrith come down our left edge but we defend well. After centering the ball, Sam Anderson is able to free his arm from the tackle and get the ball down.

It wasn't a soft attempt at tackle but we didn't lock the ball up.

Naiqama has an easiest shot at goal and gets the two points.

Big metres from Penrith up the middle this set.

They hoist it high on the last and Cummins make a bizarre attempt at batting it back but it travels forwards.

Morgan cleans it up but it offside and concede the penalty.

Good set of defence for Wenty which ends in Rawalui comfortably taking the kick on the full in goals.

There is a loose pass from Wenty which Penrith scoop up and Nabuli goes clear down the sideline. Cummins comes across in cover and manages to get an ankle tap and bring the giant down. He gets up and throws a pass inside but Junior Paulo has gotten back to make the tackle.

Penrith come to our right on the next play where we are massively short. We nearly kill the play but it isn't enough and Naiqama crosses for looks to be the match winner.

Naiqama hit the extras from his own try for the second time today.

Penrith lead Wenty 36-22

70min gone.

For murraymob, Campbell-Gillard has looked good in the second half. Great involvement up the middle with some strong carries.

Back to the game, Penrith lose the ball after another good set up the middle.
