Semi scorches down the left hand side ducking under two high shots to then link up with Api.

We spread the ball to the right to link up with Cheyse Blair who storms over 10m to the right of the uprights.

Mullaney still can't add the extras.

Wenty pick up a penalty on the restart via a ruck penalty.

They are deep in the Jet's territory now but Parata spills a pass to give up possesion.

A strong run from Kane Evans puts the Jets into out half on the last. Mullaney safely defuses the bomb and Wenty work it out from their 20m line.

Blair makes big metres down the right side and MacKenzie chips it on the next play. Wenty regather and spread to the left and back. Eventually a kick finds the in-goals and Wenty catch Jacks inside to earn a dropout.

Wenty are the benefactors of another ruck penalty, this time as the defenders impede Tautai's play the ball.

Despite the glut of possession and territory, Wenty can not capitalise as they drop the ball once more to give the Jets scrum 10m out from their own line.

MacKenzie flies high over the Jets chasers to take a screamer in our red zone but he comes down dangerously and loses the ball. The ref pings the Jets for taking out the catcher and Wenty earn another penalty.

O'Hanlon works it up the middle but we finish out set with an ordinary kick, allowing the Jets to start their set 30m out from their line.

Newtown make big metres in their set and spread it wide down our left on the last. Rokolati puts a desperation grubber in that is easily fielded by Mullaney.

In the reply set, Wenty fight their way to the 40m line and a decent kick runs dead.

Play resumes for the Jets on the 20m line.

Newtown finally receives a penalty for Wenty encroaching inside the 10m and go on the attack on our 30m line.

After repelling the Jets until the last, a cross field kick is spilled on our left flank...which bounces straight into the waiting arms of Michael Oldfield who scores one of the easiest tries in his career.

The conversion is no good by Rokolati.

The Jets are back out in front, leading Wenty 16-12

The Jets makes big metres up the middle through Houma and second phase play sees the ball coming down our left flank. The Jets put up a chip but Semi gets back easily to secure the ball on the full.

Wenty play out a simple set that ends with the ball running dead. The Jets to play it out from their 20m line.

Newtown crosses down our right flank after a soft set in defence by Wenty. Arona is the try scorer.

The conversion is good by Rokolati.

Newtown go into half time leading 22-12.

Wenty were sluggish out of the gates but started dominating proceedings from the 10m mark. Despite this, silly errors and lapses in concentration before half time have allowed Newtown to open up a 10 points lead.

Tautai run gives up a good finish to the first set, as Waters finds the grass deep in the Jet's half.

The Wenty defence is a tad over zealous in their first set as they concede the first penalty of the half.

Jets restart on our 40m line.
