This is the actual stunt Mac 10 machine gun that was used by Kurt Russell in Escape From NY. It is showing it’s age. Any scene where a mock up gun can be used in film or tv instead of the real thing, something like this is made. These days resin is the go to material. Of course when a scene requires firing the real thing is used.

This is what the elevator scene originally looked like in Earthquake but it was deemed to graphic and would have given the movie an R rating instead of a PG rating so it was ditched and replaced by the hilarious fake cartoon blood.

The Space Marine drop ships were very cool. James Cameron wrote that the design was to give them the Bell Huey Vietnam era look.
