If he said pull something goregous instead, people would still have the shits. If he said pull someone, people would still have the shits. No matter which way you slice it, every snowflake wants to be offended by something, cant stop them.

Young male makes joke about going out to a club and looking to get laid... colour me shocked.

Like 90% of society do on an average night out pre corona.

Ridiculous.

I agree with most of this. Would you have any issue if he had said anyone instead of anything?

I think it was a dumb thing to say in the public domain but its not worth the meltdown Penrose Warrior seems to be having.

Haha. I’m not having a meltdown and I’m not offended. It’s just a dumb thing to say on TV and a warning was the right thing to do

Why get so triggered by a warning. Is that want you want to be offended by?

Just don't do it on TV. Is that so hard? The game has an image problem when it comes to the treatment of women. I honestly can't see how that's hard to understand.

Andrew Abdo fortunately is intelligent, and gets it that the game doesn't need players talking about f**king women in interviews.

Did anyone see the rubbish that was performed at the Grammys. that was 50 times worse than anything he said. Yet because they are black and women they can get away with it.

A lot of uppity people missed the irony of what Toby said.

He was set up by being accused of being an "old school" fella and then asked how he'll celebrate. He went along with the joke. He was not actually condoning going to Northies and being a rootrat.

He's plenty busy looking after his disabled mum and sick grandma
Just quoting to show the real story.
If you couldn't see that he was just taking the piss out of Fletch, Johns and Hindy then Lawd help us all.

I didnt see it but not surprised. Even some celebrities have dropped recent f bombs or expletives on TV, yet seem fine

Also Im pretty sure a recent female politician made comments about Addo Carr recently.

Women like sex too you prudes
That's the whole thing. If he wanted he could go down to Northies and pull one, just by being an NRL player, probably without even having to open his mouth. He should have known saying this would draw the crabs, though.

Society has the issue, not just the game. Next time your mate mentions how toey he is for a tinder date to breeze through pull him up on it eh?

Otherwise it's just virtue signaling, which as mentioned is the snowflake thing to do in recent times with nothing else important on their plate.

Not triggered by the warning, just have a good old chuckle at those who are offended.

Is the NRL just assuming that Toby Rudolf is straight? What if was gay or bisexual and hoping to hook up with another man? Very poor form by the NRL to make such assumptions.

If this type of ‘joke’ or innuendo is worthy of a warning note, the Matty John’s show is in big trouble moving forward - their entire show is built around this type of ‘lads being lads’ suggestive humour, whether it be about women, drinking or even often recreational drugs - the player involvement on the show doesn’t work if the players are going to be sanctioned for stuff like this.
Guaranteed every media manager across the NRL is today telling their players to batten down the hatches and stick to the pre-agreed clichès in all interviews. That’ll switch more people off than any light hearted innuendo.

The matty johns cast are not representing the NRL or a club. News ltd has no morals so they are safe!
TBF he could still be funny, a character, a larrikin etc etc without the derogatory remarks (as some may see them), the cheese seems to be doing ok in that dept. Personally I didn't think it was warranting such attention but I can see given whats happening in UK with the woman's murder and here with the rape allegation that we are in a sensitive time. The daily death of a woman from DV also is pretty damning for our country and our men of this country and it starts somewhere. Objectification of women isnt ok, players better wise up quickly.

The NRL IS A JOKE. I really struggle with all the hypocrisy , the NRL are happy to have players go on to shows and radios shows and NRL accept money from nine , fox and various radio station yet on these various shows the presenters get away with way disgusting crap and NRL blindly associate with them... how often on Multiple of these shows the innuendos about being stoned , basically make jokes that you know have some sort of gay connotations and laugh like idiots
Not only that with rudolf they basically set him up to have to be silly by saying he is old school

Spot on.

I thought it was refreshing to see a few of the post game interviews on the weekend. The Luai & To'o one was good & I thought Rudolph was great. Considering the show he was on he read the room brilliantly. Anyone that couldn't see that the comments were tongue in cheek probably should be in bed straight after dinner with a nice smear of vicks on their chest so they are protected from any adult humour.
I can't wait for this weeks post match deadpan credit to the boys etc. So insightful.

Edit, just to clarify, by adult humour I don't mean sophisticated before anyone climbs up on their box.
