Maybe this should go in a different thread but I feel there were so many things that happened yesterday that im still trying to process!

Post your own one sentence observations.

* Bennett’s last NRL game might be a 48 point thrashing by the dragons.

* last time we played a final up there, broncos won but lost their captain five eighth in the process

* Bennett blamed injuries for the performance - even though we lost three starters during the f**king game!

* hunt’s long kicks -absolute clutch and dug us out of a hole on at least three occasions.

* korbin sims is a bit of a scapegoat - yes he gave away some dumb penalties - but James Roberts missed tackles cost more points.

* Now THAT was the game to honour Lance Thompson. A finals win at Lang Park and number 12 MOM.

* that last try was beautiful - seeing Dufty, Luc, and Lomax celebrate even better.

* in retrospect, broncos were probably the best opposition for us to play against. They were always going to struggle against a strong forward pack.

* Lafai does have a pulse after all - defended strongly against Roberts and Kahu.
* Hail the young Saints! Lomax, Lawrie, Leilua and Dufty all stepped up big time.
* McInnes outplayed McCulloch and iced the game with a pinpoint grubber for Lucky to score.
* Sims - human wrecking ball that created havoc yesterday. Had the Brisbane pack and Milford shitting bricks all day long. Best thing about this guy is his ability to be aggressive without brain explosions. Very smart forward - has been one of our best for a long time. Enjoyed him smiling and pointing to the scoreboard late in the game.
* Defence - although the score was a blow out, it was our defence that clicked and performed yesterday.
Big games are won on good defence.
Our backline, with the inclusion of Lomax and Periera looks much less vulnerable now

Souths blueprint
1. Sims to terrorize Reynolds all day long - close down kick time and run at him in attack.
2. Graham to re-visit the "Battle of Britain" and take it to the Burgess brothers. Hopefully can stay in the game for long minutes. To be ably supported by Frizell, JDB, Sims, LAM, Latimore and Lawrie. Bring back the gang tackle to unsettle the Souths big boys.
3. Second phase, offload all day long.
4. Souths are vulnerable mentally - get a good start and lead all the way.
