I was just thinking, gee this Zimbo side is a far cry to the Zimbo sides of the mid to late nineties. That team had the Flower boys, Heath Streak, Paul Strang and a couple of others. They were at least competitive. Not like this rabble. Nothing like a bit of political turmoil to wreck your cricket side.

The Kiwis crushed them today, and deservedly so.

Any side would struggle as it's their first test away from home in 10 years ffs. They showed signs at home that they will be good in years to come. They need to send A teams away on tours to get used to overseas conditions as their batsmen did not look like they had ever played outside of Zimbabwe so it was always gonna be tough for them in the first place.

Oh, and it would help if their best players actually played for them.

Exactly.

Their best players want nothing to do with the team or the country. Even some members of the team that got thrashed today have tried to become eligible to play for other countries. Tatenda Taibu is one that springs to mind.

Yeah and it's a shame really. Guys like Gary Ballance and Sean Ervine would make a huge difference to their side, instead they would rather play county cricket.

Some of you guys talk Zimbabwe up like they were a good team. Even with Flower and Streak they were f**kinh rubbish in tests.

They were tough to beat at home but at the same time never really chased victories. They drew a shitload of games. A bit like how Stoke City play their football.

Zimbabwe were rubbish. New Zealand did what a good side would do and thrashed them. You can't really ask for more than what they did.

We're a long way from being one of the top Test playing nations- that's for sure. But we're on the way up. We've improving a lot.
