This giantess Goswami kinda meanders to the crease but knows how to put a ball on the spot and ask questions. Much like Abbas of Pakistan. Pretty sure I first saw Goswami on Aussie soil well over a decade ago. She has to be in her late 30s I'd imagine.

Aust 4/143
India 234 ahead

Wonder if we have a chat with India overnight to make a game of this?

Agree to bat for 10 overs tops then declare, and ask they do the same for 10 overs
India have all their guns available so most likely will score more runs in this period
Lose 4 overs for change of innings twice

76 overs left in the day, Chasing about 250+

Could set up a terrific test, and most likely a result

Even if Australia ended up winning, The indian team would get so much more respect and this test would be renown for their sporting declaration. And of course if India ended up winning, would be enormous, so much better than a lame draw, which is probably what is gonna happen "sniff"

4-143 is a satisfactory result from the more difficult batting conditions during the evening session. I had visions of us being all out. Still some batting to come in the day session from the Aussie girls with our champion all rounder still at the crease..

Hey guys rather that just post randomly why dont we quote each others posts. Much more fun this way.. plus is more personal. Always been the way in the 15 years that I have been posting on cricket forums.

DRS to be used in the Ashes Test. Needs to be as the two umps in this match have made the odd howler leaving either skipper with no way to formally challenge a bad decision.

Australian team became a bit pampered. Spoilt. Arrogant. Like to see a team like India win. Knock them off their pedestal.

Perry a class act. Leading the way yet again. @78 Test average.

Gardner a good support act but easy to see she has not played much red ball cricket. Feet anchored and uses hard hands. But knows how to put away the loose one.

It is so plain to see that our girls need to be playing state level red ball too. Some have virtually no clue how to play a moving ball, move their feet or play with soft hands. Some of the Indians were the same.

Meghna only medium pace but she has the skill of swing. Like many Indian bowlers. Gets Sutherland and Molineux cheaply.

Now the follow on has been avoided what is the chance of Meg declaring behind then give her bowlers a crack at the Indians in the twilight zone.

Meg does declare on the point of dinner. The Aussie brains trust have also worked out this is our only chance to stay in the contest.
