Well done on your selection. There is no doubt that Finch deserves the spot ahead of Head and Sherwin. The Roosters are the best team in the comp and they are the outright competition leaders and Finch is leading the DallyM's. But the brain dead drongos on here are happy to put in 2 halves ahead of him simply because they hate the Roosters. There's logic for you. In big games Finch will crumble, like he did in the grand final, against penrith this year, and against the dogs a few weeks ago, when Sherwin hammered him.

Easy to defend the selection of Finch. After all he comprehensively outplayed Sherwin in his last game.

Finch turned in a man of the match performance against the dogs and was the key playmaker in the Roosters 40 to 12 demolition of the Bulldogs.

Finch was outstanding in this game and clearly put his hand up for SOO selection........

Back on the topic. People are saying Gidley couldn't have been selected because he was too young. Umm no offence, but the same bloody argument can be made for Finch.

Gower out injured so Kimmorley comes in
Kimmorley out injured so they call in Barrett but he is injured so they call in Orford but he rules himself out so they finally call in the 5th choice which is Brent Finch well really the 6th choice because Joey is out injured and Finch probably wouldn't be there if Freddy wasn't playing.
It will be good for combination in the halves though because they both obviously play at the same club.

He still is leading the Dally M Meadl count. He is playing well week in week out for those Chooks. He won't be a Joey or a Gower, but as a Queenslander i'm more concerned with Finch than Kimmorrley. At least he is in form and does not have a rubbish kicking game.

ps. I don't think Brett Finch with be doing a lot of the kicking. Brad Fittler will be.
