i think hes been one of the most improved players this season
its sad that people let their feelings for clubs distort their objectivity.

Hes probably not as good a kick than kimmorley he is a better defender, i know i had my concerns about QLD expoiting kimmorely in defence

Finch isnt up for the intensity of origin football. Maybe in a few years......
Sending an inexperienced halfback to lang park is asking for trouble.

I guess the inclusion of Finch into the NSW side whether deserved or not brings even more wood to the burning effectiveness of the salary cap fire!

How can one team have so many rep players in it????

I don't think the rooster are cheats I just think the current salary cap system is not working, and this is well and truly represnted by the amount of reps the roosters have!!

Finch's selection has tipped the scales Queensland's way....

 I guarantee if they (QLD) bombard him with big forwards running straight at him and old man Fitler, the match will be over in minutes.

Not likely. I challenge you to name a better defensive halves combo in the NRL. When you consider that Brad Fittler's 10 m defensive zone has beent he best defended by far over the last few years and Brett Finch is one of the top defensive halfbacks, i dont see how you can name a better pair in defense. And please dont refer to the Dogs game to say Finch is a poor defender. Sure Mason carried him a couple of times but he's not alone there. And over the year he has been outstanding in defense.

Whats with all this crap about the Finch and Fittler combination. It has been pointed out that Finch passed the ball to Fittler a grand total of once, yes one time, during the Roosters V Dogs match. What a great combo they have going here!!!! Clearly Sherwin is a better player than Finch.

Well done on your selection. There is no doubt that Finch deserves the spot ahead of Head and Sherwin. The Roosters are the best team in the comp and they are the outright competition leaders and Finch is leading the DallyM's. But the brain dead drongos on here are happy to put in 2 halves ahead of him simply because they hate the Roosters. There's logic for you. To all of the morons who continually bag Finch, keep sucking on those lemons!

Yeah, I was surprised Finch wasn't named in the starting lineup for Origin 1. He's clearly vastly superior to Gower and Kimmorley, and this wonderful insight now spells the end of any representative hopes that Johns, Gower, Kimmorley, Orford, Sherwin, etc etc might ever have had. I'd make him captain as soon as possible too

can you read Rooster?? I was talking in context - I realise that abstract thought is a little beyond you - and I apologise for that.

And I was even agreeing with you

Sherwin is garbbage! Every since he signed his 5 year deal with the daggies he's been crap. Average one week below average the next.

Oh but wait, he can grubber kick, yippee!!

Finch leads Sh1twin on line breaks, trys, try assists, line break assists, breaking tackles, offloads and has made half the errors Shi1twin has made all year.

Oh but wait Sh1twin is better #-o. Morons!

Chook.

The objectivity seems to be lost on the roosters supporters in this forum and not the other way around (bar you).

They seem to be the only ones defending him. The rest of us think he is not better than Sherwin and is being carried by one of the best players ever in Fittler and the little champion Wing (despite Fittler / Stuart saying Finch is now running the team).

In regards to defence, I see him miss tackles all the time - especially against the Dogs where they targeted him. I reckon he has flown under the radar but after watching the Dogs game, other teams may realise that he IS running the team and with a little bit of pressure he folds and the team with it.

Let's hope he is not running the Blues tonight - cause mark my words they will run at him every chance they get and unless Fittler is willing to take control, the maroons have got us.
