Ok enough of the fashion police rubbish.

Does anyone actually believe that this will end in player bans anymore?

Or will ASADA come up dry and the lawyers laugh their way to the banks?

ASADA would hope they ban someone before the election because the libs will pull this farce of an investigation when they get into government

I really dont think the Libs are going to can it if it is still ongoing after the election.

But like I said in the rest of my post that you didn't quote. It is like asking what the Sharks players were wearing when they allegedly took banned substances

I think the point El Diablo is making is, News Ltd employs the types of R. Wilson (she is in a senior position for DT I think?) She has been caught DUI multiple times, so is therefore of questionable morals and character, but like most DT scum, proceeds to take the high moral ground on issues she has no right talking about.

Also she is DT scum and it is always timely to bring up her DUI's under almost any circumstances.

They said they would

Can you post a source? I severley doubt they will follow through on it (like many things Tony has promised). I would imagine that there would be implications for AFL and NRL's compliance with the WADA code if that was to happen

Wasn't it Michael Keenan who said that?

He said that the Liberal Party would end the ACC's involvement in sports doping and leave it to ASADA.

He also said that there were clearly widespread problems in the NRL and AFL and that he objected to the net being cast over all of Australia's athletes.

So no, I don't think they will end this investigation at all.

Interesting. TAB has suspended a number of markets relating to Essendon (to miss the top 8, top Vic team) and Steve Mascord (twitter) has commented "the biggest sports media story in memory is brewing".

Steve isn't usually one to sensationalize things.

I have it good authority that the next Cronulla player to front ASADA for an interview will be dressed as the old drag queen bloke from Jane's Addiction's Been Caught Stealing video. There may even be a fake plastic bottom in use.

Next Cronulla player to dress in a tuxedo, top hat and pimp cane.

The compromise is obvious -

Graham should have appeared at the meeting dressed more appropriately because he was representing his club. Not out of respect for asada.

But it's a side issue.

And he'll walk right through the door.

Just like that.

Club bosses united in condemning News report

Date
May 1, 2013

Brad Walter
Chief Rugby League Writer

NRL club bosses have publicly expressed their disappointment at reports about a possible link between the late Jon Mannah's recurrence of Hodgkin's lymphoma and the supplements program at Cronulla in 2011.

The chief executives of the 16 NRL clubs issued a joint statement after their meeting in Sydney on Tuesday about approaches to Mannah's family by The Daily Telegraph and the way the paper has used privileged information contained in a leaked Sharks document to report the story.

"We recognise the rights of the media to report in the public interest but the rights of individuals also need to be respected," the statement said.

"There has been significant pain caused to the Mannah family in the way this has been addressed and the people involved must accept a level of responsibility for that pain.

"We accept that the seriousness of the ASADA inquiry ensures a high level of public scrutiny but the seriousness of it also demands a high level of responsibility.

''The way in which the Mannah family has been brought into this as a result of reporting last week is something that has disappointed every club and every player."

The decision to issue the statement, which was released to media through the NRL, has the support of the game's players, with RLPA president Clint Newton releasing a statement on their behalf last Saturday.

Bombers deliberately leaking there internal report to win the PR battle by claiming "we were duped"

I think the Sharks tried to play the same game but the Sydney media don't collude like the Melbourne one does.

Compare the contrast in reporting the two reports.

In Melbourne it's "poor guys they were duped" in Sydney "bloody Sharks!!"
