I can read actually. And rather than take these guys at their word I prefer to try and see where they are coming from.

In my opinion, and that is all it is, ASADA have taken a particularly nasty approach here, maligning whole codes of football in an effort to discover some evidence to justify their 'blackest day in Australian Sport' hype.

I am not stupid enough to think there is not a bit of smoke here. But I aso happen to believe this is a massive beat up by a bunch of enthusiastic investigaors hoping to justify a media circus that is spiralling a bit out of their control.

I might be wrong.

So far I am not.

Mate, you can believe what you want, but please do not go sailing over the horizon as you might fall off the end of the earth.

I am glad you enjoyed your attempt at humour.

I did, because even when given the facts as to date - you still say, I would rather believe that it is a beat up, brushfire to see who will pop out.

Come back here in about 6 months and see who was right.

He is a Magpies supporter so he is, by nature, a glass half empty kinda guy given the condition of his Club.

Oh that hurt, but if you are a Pennies supporter, you might be concern. Future - Western Sydney - Parramatta Eeels and Western Surburbs Magpies.

If there is a medical expert on the forum or even if there is a journo trolling this forum - can you ask a medical expert what are the withdrawal signs and effects for going off Peptides.

I was told by an allied health person that the medical and physical consequences for these players who have been using this junk will be huge once they stop. Even for someone who has only been on the stuff for as little as 12 months. She says in 6 months it will be obvious to all of us who has been taking Peptides. She is adamant that it won’t matter whether ASADA or the NRL ban them for 6 months or 2 years because they will never get their bodies back into good enough shape to be able to play NRL footy.

I would love to know if this is true. I hope it is.

Who says they would stop? They won't be competing so what are the chances they would be tested? Do suspended players have to do like a parolee and turn up weekly for testing? Doubt it.

It would be life as normal without the weekend game of footy IMO

I'm not too sure whether it make a difference. If these players stop then I don't expect the changes to be obvious.

The "growth" has already occurred. As long as these players maintain the intensity of training and keep their macros at a point where they don't drop weight then, the obvious differences will be small.

Leading lawyer Justin Quill agreed it was "shocking and irresponsible" but said taking on the government or Crime Commission in court would be a tough case to win.

"They have basically thrown a hand grenade at the AFL and NRL and walked away," Quill said.

"The head of the ACC, John Lawler, said this was about intelligence gathering, not evidence gathering.

"In those circumstances it seems reprehensible that the ACC in concert with the government would make these allegations, tarnishing the names of clubs, codes and players and undermining peoples' confidence in Australian sport without any evidence.

My my that is convincing ........

You accept that it is a beat up (no evidence), even though the ASADA spokeperson said they intend to interview between 150-200 persons and expect to charge between 70-80 and impose bands; but you refuse to believe that the ex-liberal premier of NSW is not a member of the liberal party.

Dude, I feel sorry that our school system let you down so badly.

By the way the ALP are useless, the Liberal and National Parties are the same.

Mate, I could pay a barrister to say - you are a genius, but I'm not that rich.

Mate, either you don't read or you refuse to believe - ASADA has stated they intend to interview up to 150-200 professional sportspersons or their associates and believe they will recommend bans for between 70-80.

They never said the investigation would be over quickly, they needed the public report released before they could move forward.

You might not like it, but I don't like cheats especially in sports.

Good call magpie. If it gets rid of one drug cheat or match fixer then I will be a happy man. Better for the storm to blow up now then in the middle of the season.

I think it is unfair to criticise the ACC and ASADA. They had an investigation going and then all of a sudden the government decide to go public with it and then tarnish all of Australian sport. Clubs like the Cowboys could have cleared everything up with ASADA and the public didn't need to know

I imagine the opoid peptides would cause withdrawl for obvious reasons, but they're not the ones players would take.
