The notices were scheduled to be served on all involved parties by Bunniesman, but have been delayed because he has a dental appointment.
that won't take long. The doctor will look at all of his tooth and leave it there so that he can open cans with it.

Did you watch the show or understand the context as to why he isn't happy?

Yeah he's pissed off with the NRL because he and the other players haven't been told what's going on or kept up to date with the investigation.

So I'm asking, what exactly can the NRL tell them about an ongoing ASAD investigation?

Chook.

No. He was mad at the lack if support from the Nrl. He doesn't want their answers. Go back and listen to it again.

His comments were in relation to the duty of care to the players involved and having to cope with it all.

He made light of the fact that the club was fined over duty of care, but the NRL couldn't give two hoots about how the players are coping with it.

Some people really struggle to understand what people say / mean don't they?

Whether you think he has a point or not is irrelevant.

The NRL have handle this with distinction. They have maintained an arms length and allowed ASAD to run their investigation into the players, while the NRL ran their own separate investigation into the club and medical staff.

When ASADA hand down their penalties against the players, and there will be penalties, that's when the NRL's duty of care begins as they will have to manage the players through that process. Not while the invesitagation is still taking place.

Read Diablo's post above about the debacle the AFL caused trying to meddle in the process and influence the outcome. There were back room deals and under the table agreements, threats of legal action, counter threats, it was a complete shambles.

The NRL have handled this professionally. If that upsets Gallen, too bad.

Why should the NRL care about players going the needle..

Rlpa is the one who should be checking in on them

So chook

you work for a large corporation (the NRL as a player).... an outside agency (ASADA) who is responsible for checking a business is following correct rules and regulations comes in and does its job, upon leaving it says to you directly (and then continues to threaten for 18 months, granted this is the media) that YOU ARE IN DEEP TROUBLE.... how do you react?

Do you say nothing and wait, or do you at a minimum seek support from your employer (THE NRL AGAIN) and want them to go into bat for you for answers?

Isn't the Sharks the employer of the player. I would of thought that whenever a player needs some sort of support that it should be provided by the club and their union (RLPA) not the NRL

But you said he didn't want answers?

The NRL can't "go into bat" for them or else you'd end up with the AFL debacle. The NRL have been kept in the dark about ASADA's investigation as much as the players have as it's an external, government agency running the investigation.

It would be like the tax office running the rule book over a players finances. Should the NRL get involved in that as well or is it between the player and the ATO? It is the latter.

The NRL's duty of care begins after ASADA hand down their findings. Until that happens the NRL's hands are tied in regards to supporting the players.

Chook.
