To me when the mum spoke it sounded fake and fishy as f**k. It's almost as if she rehearsed beforehand that she needed to talk about Sandor in the best way possible and so she started bringing up the single parent thing and how Sandor is a good kid and etc. She obviously wanted to paint a good boy image of Sandor to everyone.

Which brings me to a very interesting point.

She said she was shocked to see her son's name on the news - implicating that she didn't know abt these clinics that Sandor went to, to get injected.

Tallis brought up a good point about "after the things Sandor was going thru why didn't he just tell his mum about all this beforehand". If he was getting treatment for his shoulders surely his parents should know what going on, how he is getting treated, will he be alright etc?

I understand that not every footballer is that close to their parents. Not every parent of a footy player would know the details of what is going on with the treatment of their sons injury. I understand that.

But Sandor's mum jumping to Sandor's aid suggests to me that they are close. And she did say Sandor is caring and disdat. If they are so tight then why didn't Sandor's mum know abt Sandor's visits to the clinic in the first place? What was Sandor got to hide in the first place?

I just got this sneaky suspicion that Sandor knew what he was doing was wrong therefore he never told his mum in the first place. He clearly stated that he thought whatever he was doing was ethical so he had never any reason to not say it to his mum.

But the thing is his mum never knew abt it.

But i do admit Sandor spoke candidly and seemed very honest in his approach throughout the whole interview.

yes you get the medicine from the chemist via a script. Not sure about you but i have never had to deliver any medicine to my doctor
Just before my son was born, myself and immediate family had to get the whooping cough needle. The doctor gave us a script to get filled, and we had to go back for him to give it to us.

I'm sure any script where you need an injection would work the same way.

Yeah, right. The only NRL player to have ever used recreational ElephantJuice ever

If anyone was actually serious about enforcing a ban on recreational drug use by athletes there would be a massive exodus.

It's a bit like the current investigation Rudder, many have done it / do it (lets face it, they are professional athletes in a very demanding sport ) but only the unfortunate get caught.

@josh_massoud: Apologies to @sydneyroosters fans if what I said on @TheFootyShowNRL was misconstrued

@josh_massoud: As we report tomorrow, two Blues are now wanted for questioning over it. Neither play for the roosters. Hope that lowers your blood pressure

Big Meh to recreational drug use, I probably couldn't care less. There's nothing performance enhancing about it and it's not a problem limited to Rugby League.

The game, whether it's the clubs or the NRL should obviously provide support and education on drug use if it's needed but that's where it should end imo.

f**k, I hope you are never on a jury - reading plenty into a statement from very hurt mum; who obviously loved and was extremely proud that her son's sporting ability had taking him to NRL level.

Manly got mentioned a bit tonight, about time considering Dank was there for 5 years.

Apparently they have been "cleared ". What did he do there? What substances did he administer? Was 1 calves blood? If players took that shit, would they have worried what Dank was giving them?

"Penrith must have known what was going on".

I'm sure we risked our reputation to aid the recovery game-breaking superstar Dorguson.

Narcissistic pretty boy modelling merkin.

You have ur opinion, i have mine. Yeah no doubt she is proud of her sons achievement. No denying that. But what i meant by rehearse is that she wanted to get across to the people that Sandor is a good kid. I dont mean that she is making shit up. I meant that she really tried expressing her emotions on camera.

Her feelings were most likely genuine. By fake i meant she persisted on getting her feelings out. But my main point was about Sandor hiding shit from his mum in the first place.

ASADAs position is weaker for tonights interview.

I don't see it that way. I don't know what other information ASADA has on players/officials.

To be honest, I believe if the NRL ElephantJuice Panel finds Sandor not guilty of trafficking but guilty of usage and he gets 2 years (if no discount is applied - which ASADA can recommend if he has provided assistance); I doubt ASADA or WADA would appeal.

Yeah, see your point - I know I would in defence of my son/s; if I believed he was led along the garden path by a so-called sport science expert.

Did he live with his mum at the time (Penrith) - maybe, he had mentioned treatment/injections but did not expand on it.

What I see is a public airing tonight (of sorts). From that its quite clear to me that the further this progresses the more shallow it becomes (if you get my drift)

I dont have an opinion on the issue of penalties other than to say Earl most definitely shouldnt become the poster boy for some bureaucrats day in the sun.
