This is how the ABC News website is reporting the story -

Martin Kennedy reportedly set to receive infraction notice from Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority
Updated 18 minutes agoWed 18 Mar 2015, 8:45am

Sydney Roosters prop Martin Kennedy is reportedly set to receive an infraction notice from the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority (ASADA).

According to Seven News, Kennedy could be handed the notice today, prompting a two-year ban.

ASADA was rumoured to be looking at Kennedy in late 2013 in relation to the case that saw Sandor Earl banned in August 2013.

The pair, who attended Matraville Sports High together, played at the Roosters in 2009 and Earl is currently fighting a four-year suspension for trafficking banned substances.

Should actually free up some salary cap space for the Broncos if he gets suspended. No way the Roosters are paying him most of his salary
Nope Broncos aren't paying a cent for Kennedy. We are for Barba, not Kennedy. The is an article floating around where Kennedy talks about being the one that wanted and asked for a release. He wasn't pushed out, luckily for us he wanted out and left.

Here is the article where he says he asked for a release.

Thankfully he ain't costing us anything anymore

They did pay out a sum of the final two years he had to run on his contract in Brisbane though. How you blokes ever thought he was worth the $$$ you threw at him is a mystery.

Kennedy requested the release. Since when did clubs have to pay out parts of contracts when the contracted party is the one that asked for the release? We released Barba and are paying part of his contract, Kennedy asked to go.

I'll conceed we are paying a chunk of Barbas contract, we released him, it was us that sent him packing. Kennedy however asked to leave, we ain't paying him squat, much in the same way the Knights are paying Boyd squat after he asked to leave. Clubs are under no obligation to pay a player who requests to leave.

Here is the article where Kennedy himself says he asked for a release.

the broncos are paying part of his contract, the roosters aren't going to sign him on big money with the form he had, they didn't want to re-sign him on big money in the first place and no player walks away from hundreds of thousands of dollars.

If he gets done the Broncos clear some cap space.

so if kennedy gets his contract ripped out, who gets the cap relief? would have been nice cap space freed up if the broncs were still paying some of it hey?

Then the knights are paying some of Boyds, the Tigers some of Blairs and Gavets.

But but Boyd asked for a release so the Knights aren't paying him anything but Kennedy asked for one and the Broncos are... f**k off.
