I wonder how Sandor Earl feels about these 3 week suspensions after being effectively kicked out of the sport.
He'd be pissed he wasn't at the sharks.

In other sports that's too bad and every athlete caught cheating would just be trotting out the old "I didn't know what I was taking"line.
If you're caught with illiegal substances in your body, you're cheating, knowingly or not.
The only good thing to come out of this whole sorry saga.
I think players, administrators and club can consider themselves very lucky they are in a country with such a sht house drugs administration organisation and in a code that has done a good job in manipulating a min impact outcome. If they'd been weight lifters, sprinters or swimmers the outcome would have been very different.
So who was caught with illegal substances in their body?
So your another that thinks ASADA is corruptible.
Based on what evidence?

Why were charges not laid last November?
Why are asada happy to accept one of the weakest suspension outcomes ever seen?
Why did the NRL impose sanctions on cronulla before any player outcomes were known?
Why is the NRL happy to move on with the weak sanctions imposed despite alleged gross negligence to player welfare and major negative impact on NRL reputation?
Incompetence or corruption? I guess we'll never know.
You don't have to be caught with illegal substances in your body. Ask Lance.
How did ASADA know about the allegations about the Sharks players?
The real tragedy in all this is that Luke Douglas' consecutive game streak will come to an end.
What if the players lawyers advised this could drag on for 2 years at least and you're looking at legal bills of over $300 k (and you have an excellent chance of winning) or take 3 weeks now and move on?
No it's not. He's a scumbag drug cheat who deserves 2 years out, according to some.
Head coach and trainer haven't copped enough
“In this case, the evidence supports the fact that players were misled about the nature of the substances administered to them by people at the club who they should have been able to trust.
“The suspensions recognise the fact that the players were misled
Far closer to reality is the evidence was clear but due to asada incompetence in not charging them in November and possible irregularities in interviews etc it was better for everyone to come up with an outcome that stopped it getting messy for asada and didn't impact any further on the players.
Both should be banned for life. The admission by the players, and the deal given by asada seems to be on the premise that they were ignorant of what they were given. If that's the case then someone is responsible for this program and that would appear to be the coach
Dave smiths comments clearly lay the blame at the clubs doorstep. I think the club and people involved have got off very lightly.
