Maloney is looking the goods. If we have to have Pearce then we really need to pick James too
No I didn't. Why do you think I pointed out the 5.9 metres per game?
Problem for Tolman is he has so much competition. He would probably fill the Anthony Watmough role better than the front row in origin. Front row play in origin is about a. quickness of the play the ball and b. yards after the initial collision. This is why Tamou will be first prop picked. He has a habit of making a lot of metres after the initial collision and Watmough has the body type to make the same sorts of plays plus quick play the balls.
In fact almost every player in the team has to have the ability to get away a quick play the ball. Look at Luke Lewis in the test, his footwork and acceleration off the bench even when he wasn't breaking the line he was doing enough to play the ball quickly and get some momentum.
Tolman is a worker that would be of benefit if NSW didn't have dozens of players already capable of doing a lot of work.
is the 3 linebreak assists an exaggeration? That's better than the claims Reynolds won MOTM.
Reynolds isn't even the best young halfback going around, I'd take Sam Williams & Aiden Sezer well before him. But hell if you think a halfback with 3 linebreak assists in his career is going to take a game by the scruff off the neck, create points and win games for you then you've got bigger issues than trying to figure out who the media's support is truly behind in the nsw halfback race.

Who are your best four NSW frontrowers on form RWB?
is the 3 linebreak assists an exaggeration?
Tolman specialises in hitting the ground once he reaches the defensive line. He is very, very quick to hit the ground. No chance of bending the line, using leg drive, carrying two or three defenders a few metres. Little wonder he hits the ball up so many times a game,. He expends minimal energy by refusing to attempting to gain extra metres when he hits the line.
The cane toads will absolutely love him.
Thought Reynolds took the line on a lot more last night. Nearly got over the line and broke into the backfield on another play. Reynolds is more than what he has shown IMO. Last night was probably as close as you could get to origin without it being a final or test match. The physicality was definitely there and Reynolds had to work for everything.
