Origin clearly no longer the pinnacle

Have a look here and in the international section, frankly they are. LU is the only place in the WORLD that wants Origin to be less successful and reduced in size and success. My attitude is that there is no reason why there can't be both of equal or even greater status.

Treatment from who? The media? They death ride League at every turn so really who gives a f**k.

If you even looked at 1/10th of my posts you would know that I support international League 100%, and I've shouted down dickheads that say stuff like "Australia were poor, thats the only reason NZ won".

A stand alone weekend for Internationals is A+ treatment and the dumb arse media will catch on eventually as the ANZAC Test is going to get bigger and bigger. People forget that its a relatively new thing and hasn't been around as long as you think. (Mid season tests were always post Origin)

I don't know if this is the case. Like I said in another post, having a 4 day camp for a test is not optimum. Tacking this week onto the end of the year when the four nations etc is being played might be more beneficial. It would allow the developing nations to spend more time as a squad and even play another game. Having a longer window at this time of year would also allow countries such as Fiji and Samoa to play against Australia for a change, instead of waiting four years for a chance at the World Cup. It could also allow European based players to take part, which I'm not sure they did this past weekend.

My feelings are that a dedicated and longer international season at the end of the year would be better for the game globally.

Barring the aberration of this off-season, that happens now though???

A in-season test generates a lot more interest than an off season one does.

Would hate to see Kiwis in Origin teams, but just out of interest, if each team could/had to have a single non-Aus International player in their squad, who would you pick?

Assuming you could find any that wanted to play for NSW. That's not even a jab at NSW, success is appealing.
