origin or premiership?

My team doesn't play State of Origin, so clearly a Premiership victory would be better.

I was waiting for that. When Parra become a state, this poll will become valid.

Origin is great, but in the end it's a fight for bragging rights between us an 3 million knuckle draggers north of the tweed. I guess if you play for Melbourne you'd have to say Origin though.

It's no fluke that that GF is the only sporting event in Australia that outrates Origin. And the GF highlights reel would out-do an Origin highlights reel anyday. Keep your Coyne "miracle" try, I'll take Tinghas intercept, Benjis flick pass, Lord Ted's chip and chase or Fiu's rampage anyday.

The Premiership talent pool is better anyway. And those cheating the rule get punished - Origin is tarnished because Queenslanders would pick Sam Burgess and get away with it.

So every English, french, kiwi and welsh player would value an origin jersey over their national jersey because it's the pinnacle of all of rugby league on earth?

J Smith would walk into a NSW team. So would Foran and Marshall. I Luke would replacew Ennis for Niggle and skill ability. Nightingale would replace B Moz right now; and Adam Blair would be found a spot in either team as we speak. Gareth 'Iron' Ellis would walk into either side. Sam "the walking injury" Burgess may not. Manu Vatuvei would even find a spot in the Qld team over Yow Yeh - I am sure.

And that's not even the point! The point is, origin is not the pinnacle of rugby league as some people like to say. I believe that it is the most intense, physical game of rugby league on earth currently, but two australian states playing each other is not the pinnacle of the entire sport!
