Divisional Round Fixtures
Ravens v Texans - Sunday 8:30am - Ravens too strong & powerful

49ers v Packers - Sunday 12:30pm - 49ers at home i think GB will push them though - Week off always concern me sometimes with teams especially coming up against a team with momentum.

Lions v Buccaneers - Monday 7am - Lions to go there first NFC Championship game since 1991 & 2nd in there history.

Bills v Chiefs - Monday 10:30am - Game of the Round for mine - Bills have the momentum and have a score to settle with KC at home. Wouldn't surprise me if this is close to OT again.

By the time they line up on Sunday, most of our best players won't have played for three weeks. That's a huge chunk of time to be out of action at this stage of the season. I'm hoping it will pay off in a positive way.
Certainly a delicate balance.

Pros & Cons to it.

On one hand players should be fresh and any niggles should be sorted out.

The danger is though no 2nd chances in NFL playoffs a slow start trying to get back into rhythm could be the difference. Playoff pressure can do funny things when behind early.

Another limp ending to a season for the Dolphins.

I'll call it a fail tbh. Sounds harsh considering they have made the playoffs 2 years in a row.

But the start they had to the year. Should have been a lot more.

They didn't fire a shot in past month when the heat and intensity of 3 crunch games in a row.

The Titans loss was a killer blow kept the door open for Bills to pounce.

McDaniel and Tua are under the pump next year after another late season fadeout where the offence offered SFA in big games.
Meh, bills lost to patriots, Denver and jets. It was a fluke that dolphins got that far In front with there gimmick offense

Of course it was and on top of that his division was a mess for most of his time. Bills,Jets and Miami where complete garbage for the bulk of his time there.
How would Bradys record of looked if he was in a tough group? They where almost guaranteed 5 or 6 wins every season before it kicked off due to the piss easy group. Compare it to Baltimore for example where Bengals and Pitty have always been play off sides or there about.
Crap, getting to a superbowl is so hard to do. It isn’t fluke.

Dallas have decided to keep McCarthy as HC.

I think the natives in Texas are a bit restless over that decision.

Curious who wins the Belichick sweepstakes

I was surprised to hear they were sticking with him, especially with Belichick, Vrabel and probably Jim Harbaugh available. Dallas fans would not be happy to hear that. They want heads to roll after that pathetic display (very much a Brad Arthur situation).

The big question will be about Dak. His contract is up after next season and will be expecting an extension. There's no way Dallas can spend huge money on a guy who just crumbles in the playoffs every year, so what do they do? Offer him a paycut and he will probably go elsewhere? Trade him? Pay him what he wants? There would be plenty of other teams who would love to have Dak, as he is a pretty good QB during the regular season.

True, it is very hard to do.
We can't lie and say that Brady's path wasn't made easier by having an easy division every year though. A guaranteed playoff spot every season does help, but then yeah they've got to make it through to the big one from there.

Niners are gonna need Jarryd back for the weekend, here comes Pak

Niners @ (12-5) have had a decent season but Pak seem to be on a roll atm, Pak are a young team so anything can happen.

Good luck for the weekend everyone. Go Pak

Picking Baltimore ove Houston. Been an incredible run for Houston considering they weren't expected to win more than about 6 games. Baltimore just in red hot form and peaking at the right time.

49ers over Packers. Slow start for the Pack, Jordan Love has figured it out it seems. Still the the 49ers will be too good. Just seem to be a complete team.

Detroit over TB. Good win last week by TB, but something broke the Eagles a couple of months ago. Detroit are hungry little Lions.

Chiefs in an upset over Buffalo. The extra couple of days rest the Chiefs had could make the difference. Chiefs won't be overawed by the occasion or the conditions. Can their receivers catch or quit making simple errors? If they can I expect they'll end Buffalo this season. Also Chiefs Defense is actually pretty good this year and can force turnovers.

Watching the greatest game in nfl history now. I don’t think I will ever see a game like this ever again. Just so insane you don’t know where to begin.

Ghosts of recent playoff failures starting to whisper in the minds of this Ravens team.

10 all. Texans growing in confidence the longer they hang in.

I maintain resting all your starters in the last round when you already have the week off the following week as number 1 seed is fraught with danger.

Yes your not wanting to risk injury but having 3 weeks between games before a knock-out playoff is too long a break. You can always pull them out at Halftime or 3rd quarter time. But playing keeps the rhythm going. Especially when you have a guaranteed week off anyway.

Did Tom Brady and the Pats during there golden era ever rest during the last week or 2 when the division and seeds were locked in. I don't recall Brady missing a game unless he was injured.

I think they generally played the first half at least. which I think is the way to go. The one thing they can't simulate in practice is the game speed.

Ravens seem more in rhythm this half. Texans got too cute on that trick play,

Given the way the Packers came out of the gate last week, the 49ers would want to be switched on from the opening snap.
Packers won't die wondering.

Texans holding on for dear life here.
The Ravens have looked in control of this game the whole time. Texans only TD coming on a punt return. That missed FG before half time would have been deflating. Baltimore are switched on this second half. At 17-10 and now attacking from 30 yards out, if they score a TD here then it’s pretty much going to be game over.

This one can go either way.
Packers making their way down the field against us easily, but just can’t seem to get into the end zone.

Niners struggling to get their yards, but that TD pass to Kittle has saved us.
Very much a defensive game so far, which is surprising considering the offenses of these teams.

Im pretty nervous right now.
