Sensational.

It's nice to be No. 1. Still. Amazing club with amazing success in such a short time.
Haven't heard much from the ESFC turds lately. Funny that.
Go Guangzhou.

Suity

I seem to remember you pissing and moaning about how it's harder to perform in the A-League when you have to play midweek against Asians.

I'm sure Guangzhou appreciated your support.

East Sydney were shite before the ACL started.

And, Guangzhou didn't need my help.
They easily outnumbered the ESFC fans on their own.

I know you try very hard to create a cultural divide between your club and the club based out of SFS. Calling them East Sydney etc.

I've told you before that people who live in the area don't really give a crap. The real SFC fans live throughout the metro area, few live in the east and (much to your disappointment I expect) aren't macchiato sipping mercedes drivers.

Thought you might be interested on the Morgan Poll which describes a typical SFC fan is more likely to:

*Go to the pub for a drink only
*Go to an RSL, Leagues or other club
*Play football (soccer)
*Play pool/snooker/billiards
*Drive a Mitsubishi, Honda or Suzuki
*Be born in Italy, UK or Ireland

Precious much?
It's not the fans I have a problem with, (although you're doing your best to dispel that theory), it's the club, who did little to engage anyone from Western Sydney while they had a monopoly on this city.
Anyway, carry on with your little tanties.

I think that it's a tad hypocritical for you to suggest that I'm being precious and embark on tantrums about club rivalries.

That must explain why there are lots of people who live in Western Sydney but remain Sydeny FC fans.

(And even some I know who tried the Wanderers for a year (bought season tickets, jerseys and everything) and then switched back to Sydney FC.)

But keep on dreaming Suity, and keep up your petty venedettas.

What happens at half time at Wanderers games? I was sitting at our game last night and obviously people go and piss and get food etc. and avoid the quality half time entertainment. So I was just thinking what happens at Wanderers games?

This is a genuine question born out of boredom last night.

The nark in me suggests that half time is as boring as the game, and they don't always notice there are no players on the field and continue to jump and down facing the seats and sing songs about European soccer

Just a thought

I'm not a fan of football but I'm not going to rubbish it for the sake of it.

I'm genuinely curious is all. Do they keep singing and keeping the atmosphere up or do they do the same stuff League does for entertainment etc.

What I want to know is if soccer players practice tripping over in the penalty box or rolling around in (imaginary) pain when they get challenged ? Is it an actual thing at training ?

As much as Darius Boyd was looking for a penalty last night and stayed down to see what would pan out, at least he actually got a knee to the head. Imagine how a soccer player would have reacted in the same situation ?

PS And what's with calling it "simulation" ?

I think players get pissed off when the referees fail to notice when defenders cheat, so they play it up to help the ref notice what happened. Obviously they can go a bit overboard.

Do you need a dictionary? :)

The offense covers behaviour in addition to an outright 'dive' (i.e. attempts to feign injury or pretending to have been fouled in an attempt to fool the ref).

That and it's named after a Wa Wa Nee song of the 1980s.

The reserves from both teams stay on the field and do drills and warm ups etc....
At Pirtek, they set up about 4 or 5 kids fields and have juniors playing mini games of football. They also have crowd competitions for cash - trying to hit the cross bar or taking shots from certain positions on the field etc....... Sometimes there's novelty games with an oversized football and celebrities. So generally, the same lame shit they do at the NRL.
