People used to say that about cricket after Geoffrey Boycott left his brain at home and scored a ton off 300+ balls in the 80's. Yes purists will enjoy the game of chess that is cricket, but to most people ... ZZZZZZ.

Same goes with football at times, especially in lower tier comps where the skill level is intermittent.
