Plenty of kids with ability continually miss out. The politics is everywhere. I was assured he would make Bonnyrigg White Eagles obviously because of my background but I'm not willing to do that. That shit helps nobody.

Very true.
I've also been told that those with money get to pay to get their sons into these types of squads. I believe it.
I've had my son (also 14) in an Elite Development Squad (Academy) which is affiliated with a local association club for the past two years. He has improved out of sight, but the fees are enormous. We signed up again today, and the fee was $2200 for two nights training a week and $2600 for 3 nights a week. This includes all the gear and stuff but geez!!! On top of that, I'll also have to pay the normal club registration fee for the club he will play for.

Just curious, but which club did your son make? Mine trialled with Hills Brumbies.

Sort of, but there are other clubs involved.
It's the rep level above your local Associations.

He's still been banging them away for LA Galaxy in the MLS. The A-League is apparently crap so surely he would do it here.

Yep. Amazing record there. And yes, we need a goal scorer. It's cost us 8 points in 4 Spotless home games after dominating every game.

If, as is proposed, a 3rd Sydney A-League team comes in from Southern Sydney, would you support them??
