Popa must have a serious no dickhead policy.
Liam Reddy is 10 times better than the two keepers he kept, but yet, he let him go also, apparently due to him being a disruptive influence in the dressing room. There's probably a reason why Reddy has been through 7 clubs so far.
Fat lot of good it has done us though.

Wanderers may not have achieved much this season, but at least the RBB have clubs copying their original chants. Celtic have adopted this.

With the new clubs coming what colour schemes should they adopt ? Red and white stripes is now available with the Heart ditching it with their new name. I hope someone also takes the Celtic colours.

Black and white vertical stripes.....ala Newcastle United and Juventus?
Would the new Sutherland team be sky blue like Cronulla? That would piss off ESFC and City.
There's certainly an opening for a team playing in green. Canberra maybe?

Any Southern team should have those colours however I would suggest black white and blue with a predominant black strip or something completely different like the colours of the Seattle Seahawks. Those colours are unique and modern.

Black, white and blue would certainly fit the criteria although it might disenfranchise some Dragons/ESFC fans who are wavering.

Speaking of the Shire team, I really hope the FFA do not try and incorporate Wollongong into the franchise. It would be a big mistake to do that. They deserve a franchise in their own right.

If that's the case they should be the priority IMHO. We in the Sutherland Shire can continue supporting Sydney FC.

My sister lives in the Shire and has a lot of ESFC friends. In fact, they all are.
You'd be surprised at how many would be keen to jump ship.
This isn't a shot by the way, just what they and their friends have told me. They would love a local team to follow. Pretty much how I felt. I always wanted to follow a team playing at Parramatta Stadium. The Wanderers gave me that.

I know what you're saying Suity but it's hard to change mate. I've been following them for 10 years. My boy loves hanging out in the Cove with his mates and that stuff stays with you. As we have stated many times if we have another Sydney team it will diminish our rivalry which is already rated in the top 10 in the world.

That's fine. I admire the passion from you and the boy. I think my sister's boys (all three of them) might struggle as well. I stayed there last week for a night and they all had ESFC posters around their walls, but they also told me (even the kids) that they'd love to have a local team playing out of Shark Park.
It's something ESFC have never done. Reached into their supposed Sydney wide support and community. It's why fans get disenfranchised. They've only ever played games at Kogarah and Pirtek because they've been forced to.

I certainly wouldn't ever blame a shire resident for jumping ship.

With regards to Wollongong, they've had a longer and deeper football culture than the Mariners ever did due to the multi-cultural demographic living there.
The Mariners have been a fantastic revelation and amazingly successful considering their demographic. Wollongong would be even more so. But we are talking about the FFA here. Not the sharpest tools in the shed.

On a side note, can you imagine local derby's with a Shire team at Shark Park vs the Wanderers or ESFC? It would be insane!!
We take 15000 to Allianz - maybe more sometimes. That's 3/4's of Shark Parks capacity
