Huh, what? Lol.

It was a general question. Nothing sinister.

Actually I wasn't wondering... though I had noticed how peaceful it had been in this thread without any passive aggressive (over)reactions for a while.

Yes you were. It wasn't that long ago that you actually stated I had gone quiet due to this seasons results.
Wrong. I'd gone quiet because you f**k this thread with your trolling.

As usual, you seem to like to maintain your right to have a dig at Sydney FC, but seem unable to accept if someone turns "your agenda" around on WSW?

It wasn't having a dig at ESFC at all. I just asked a simple question as to why their membership figures are riding so low when their season has been so successful thus far.

And oops, my link/post showed overall A-Leagues figures rather than this season, but the point stands - membership numbers do not equate to actual attendance.

So why would you show stats that were so irrelevant to the question that was asked? Another failed troll attempt, at which you are very good at.

It's a simple point that Pou has responded to without any need or reason to make it personal.

Pou's reply was also irrelevant, but if it pumped up YOUR tyres, all power to you.

Never claimed anything was sinister. I was lolling that you asked me why I didn't reply to a question that you said wasn't directed to me...

I suspect you might overrate your importance to this thread and/or everyone's passing thoughts by... um, just a tad?

Sure. You only asked out of concern for the impact on their long term financial sustainability, of course...

So why would you show stats that were so irrelevant to the question that was asked? Another failed troll attempt, at which you are very good at.
I think a response indicating that membership numbers don't necessarily equate to attendance (nor gate monies etc) is entirely relevant to a question about membership levels in the face of teams' success or otherwise. You're the only one having a paddy about my response to the issue.

Pou's reply was also irrelevant, but if it pumped up YOUR tyres, all power to you.
Well, it was quite relevant to the direction the discussion took, and which you could have joinined in if you weren't so apparently blinded by an agenda and ill-will. But it's your ulcer, so all power to you, wanderman.

No ones "having a paddy" .... just a good laugh at how irrelevant and stupid it was ... lol

Ah... I suspect Suity's having a passive-agressive paddy, judging by his continued responses e.g. in post #1661.

I find it all highly amusing too.

I find it highly amusing that some people dont have the gonads to admit they f**ked up when they post irrelevant wrong shit on a forum and try and then pretend they had an alternative valid point anyway ..... too hard to simply admit you f**ked up - omg, cant ever be wrong!

Where did I not admit that I f**ked up? I refer you to post #1659 - it even starts with "Oops". I couldn't give a shit whether I'm right, wrong or indifferent on here... you must have me confused with someone else who takes the forums too seriously?

And of course someone's repeated concerns about whether or not anyone thinks/cares that he's been on here less lately must have been all about having a good laugh at my expense, as you've so correctly pointed out... lol.

No tanty. Just waiting for a valid reply.
To which you seem incapable of considering your irrelevant stats posted.
Gold Coast United? Nth Qld Fury?

So, why are ESFC's membership totals so low Bart, considering their success this season?
I ask again.

Again? I thought the question wasn't directed at me...
why don't you answer the question, which, incidentally, wasn't even directed at you

If you've changed your mind, then my answer is (still)... that memberships don't equate to match day attendance. More Sydney FC fans pay as they go (rather than pay and then don't go, like incrreasing numbers of WSW fans for Homebush games), and as Pou indicated Sydney FC better caters for the casual fan (i.e. they know their market).

Happy now Suit? You've indicated your question wasn't to have a dig at Sydney FC, so I expect your follow-up response won't have a dig at the answer(s) you've been provided.... or mention whether or not you come here often anymore (lol).

Western Sydney Wanderers player charged with assault after altercation near Sydney airport
Dominic Bossi
January 26 2017 - 12:12AM

A Western Sydney Wanderers player has been charged with assault and two other players are under police investigation after an altercation near Sydney Airport earlier this month.

The 25-year-old player was charged with common assault on Wednesday after an argument about a car parking space on January 5.

It is understood more charges could follow, with other charges being processed.

Police sources told Fairfax Media the incident took place in a quiet street near the airport.

It's alleged a heated argument about the parking spot in the early afternoon quickly turned into a physical confrontation.

The matter was referred to St George Police, who decided to charge at least one player following an investigation.

On Wednesday night, a NSW Police spokeswoman confirmed a charge was laid over the incident.

"About 1pm on Thursday, January 5, a verbal altercation occurred between a 25-year-old man and a 49-year-old man on Duncan Street, Arncliffe, resulting in the younger man punching the older man in the chest," the spokeswoman said.

"The 25-year-old man attended St George Police Station about 2pm today and was charged with common assault."

He was granted conditional bail and will appear at Sutherland Local Court on February 28.

Fairfax Media has sought comment from Western Sydney Wanderers.

Football Federation Australia is aware of the charges.

Is this a self portrait?
No, it was a sly hint to the charged WSWanker's identity (Baccus), which has now been published.

WESTERN Sydney Wanderers midfielder Kearyn Baccus could be suspended by Football Federation Australia after being charged with assault during a dispute over parking near Sydney Airport.

Baccus has been bailed and told to appear in court on February 28 to answer charges that he allegedly punched a 49-year-old man on January 5, while on his way to a game.

Western Sydney are due to play overseas that day in the Asian Champions League, and the court appearance would rule the 25-year-old out of travelling.

For now the Wanderers do not intend to stand Baccus down, and he trained as normal on Thursday morning.

“The Western Sydney Wanderers advise that they are aware of a police matter involving Kearyn Baccus,” the club said in a statement.

“The club has spoken to the player with regards to the incident and as the matter has been referred to the court system the club will not be making any further comment.

“The player will be available for selection for this weekend’s match.”

But now that he has been charged by police, Baccus could also face a case from Football Federation Australia of bringing the game into disrepute. Under the national code of conduct, “commission or charge with criminal conduct” opens the way to a range of penalties including fines and immediate suspension.

FFA said today that they have asked for more details from the club and police and will then decide how to act.

“We need to receive further information before we can decide the appropriate way to proceed,” an FFA spokesman said.

Another option for FFA would be to wait for the legal case to run its course, and the response from Western Sydney, before deciding what penalty to apply, if any.

Wanderers players were told to assemble at Sydney Airport on January 5 to fly to face Melbourne City the following day. It’s believed the players have a practice of parking in backstreets near the airport before catching Ubers in groups, in order to avoid paying parking fees at the airport. Contrary to other reports, the club is not aware of investigations involving any other players.

Baccus played the full 90 minutes against City and has started both games since.

A police spokeswoman confirmed that “officers attached to St George Local Area Command have charged a man with assault following an incident earlier this month.

“It was at 1pm on Thursday January 5, an argument occurred involving a 25-year-old man and a 49-year-old man at Duncan Street Arncliffe,” she said.

“The younger man then allegedly punched the older man in the chest.”

“The 25-year-old attended Kogarah police station at 2pm yesterday and was charged with common assault.”

“He will appear at Sutherland Local Court on February 28.”

In March 2015 then Wanderers striker Kerem Bulut was withdrawn from a game after being arrested over an incident at a McDonalds outlet. Charges were later dropped after Bulut protested his innocence.
