Cracking game, with the Wanderers ever so close to snatching a draw from the more fancied Brisbane Roar.

WSW held out strongly against weight of possession, but were essentially foiled by their poor discipline, with fullback Neville earning a red card and leaving his side one down for the final stages where the winning goal was eventually scored.

Popa can't get discipline in the place, on-field or off-field...time to sack him imo.

I agree.

Eighteen months ago, I would have said that Mathew Ryan was our first choice keeper.

However, Vukovic is clearly the best keeper in Australia at the moment. He is playing brilliantly.

Regarding Ryan playing in Europe, in a top tier league, I think that's pretty clear he is a better keeper. Probably means he is better all round rather than just as a shot stopper.

Ryan probably offers more as a distributor (a facet of the modern goal keeper that I hate), but Vukovic has, imo, surpassed him as a shot stopper and defensive organiser.

Ryan is getting no game time at Valencia at the moment, either.

Ryan is better at the moment but I'm surprised that Vukovic isn't at least a regular in the national squad. If it weren't for his family issues he should go overseas to improve his game to put him past Ryan
