Dutton is a horror show of a human being, his only rival being Vlandys.

But Im quite happy to take the piss out of any public figure, gronky approved or not.

As I said about albanese, at Christmas, half the country is getting sick and people are dying of the latest lethal co vid strain while he was whacking himself off with a copy of Very Fast Train Weekly.

This fantasy of the Sydney Newcastle express, now into its 100th year of promise.

You know, the old feasibility study that takes 12 years during which, the rare white tongued ghecko is spotted near the Hawkesbury and the project has to be suspended to determine whether or not it is endangered or has a colonial heritage value.

I thought someone should buy him a train set and lock him in a room with Fitzsimmons and never let them out.

An argument will erupt as as to whether or not the tracks are laid too close to the pot plant.

He has no eyebrows or hair. Looks a bit like a pig.

If you have ever watched Bald & Bankrupt travel through the east, you would be familiar with his finely tuned knowledge of Russia. So it’s surprising to watch him in Ukraine last week. On 24th Feb, he and every Ukrainian he spoke to, did not believe there woukd be a war. On 25th they were hearing air raid sirens and on a refugee train.

My girl in Ukraine thought there would be and she was prepared. So he didn't speak to her.

She sounds smart.

Then again with a quarter of the fifth largest standing army in the world amassed on your borders for weeks… doesn’t exactly sound like a drill.

Both sides have agreed in principle to humanitarian corridors. Important and right, but I also fear it will help the next phase of the Russian assault.

Still more hysteria to sift through before the conquest and decades of terrorism to follow.

It’s only going to end when we get regime change in the Axis. A new Cold War.

The Germans and Europe re-arming like crazy means the Ruskies won’t be too eager to enter into nuclear weapons reduction talks as their conventional forces could not hold a determined NATO invasion.

Certainly not if the Germans have another go with the rest of the west. Not without Chinese help….they probably won’t to see all their export markets dry up, but you never know.

I’m imagining the frustration of the NATO pilots on the border. You might not want to arm our warplanes in case of a blown head gasket on the rocket launcher and it malfunctions.

And the environment gets well and truly stuffed in war footings. Not many recyclables in weapons and nuclear waste as pointed out here earlier, is nasty stuff.

Latest humanitarian figures: getting up to million refugees entering Poland, which has a population itself of about 37 million, so it’s a massive wave.

And they can probably expect more short term.

So far as I know, the refugees are camping there, but I guess many will fan out and some return later.

The pressure on housing, food and health etc short term must be immense.

It’s as much as the usa takes in a whole year in a week or so.

So maybe spare a thought for Polish authorities, it’s people and ngo groups trying to manage all this.

It’s a big commitment from Poland and they are indeed very generous -as are all the countries helping in this way.

And….?!
Nah that’s it. 😃

Did you watch the Bald and Bankrupt guy ? The day before the invasion he took a plane trains and automobile journey from the Ukraine Poland border to the Ukraine Russia Border. Even he was taken back by how poverty stricken the village was.

^^^ indeed if you have time, you should check out the times that he visited Chernobyl. He befriended this old guy, drank tea with him and bought him smokes. A year or two he visited him again and the ols guy was beside himself with excitement. Not many people living there obviously.

Gronk went off half cocked

Our mods have been on a high alert since the invasion I guess!

He’s all good.

But thanks to you and suity for the support.

I wouldn’t mind an update from your friend if she is able to talk to you. How does she plan to survive? Can she reach a safety corridor? Which country will she flee to ? ( if any).

What can we do to help her?

She’s the only ukkie I know.

Well she likes going to belly dancing lessons, meeting friends, travelling and learning in something new.

I guess Putin see's Yeltsin era as a huge step backwards and a failure. It was, Russia didn't succeed as a democracy. Putin who was bent by the KGB mindset wants to bring them back again to a powerful nation.
Once he takes Ukraine I think Moldova and Georgia would be next target maybe? Who knows. Perhaps he will stop at Ukraine.
I'm just not sure if this will be the start of something bigger. Like some have said when the Germans first started it probably was small and then got bigger and bigger? I don't know. My knowledge is poor here.

I still don’t get what the end game is. Ok so he bombs the absolute f**k out of the country until the current guy succeeds in favour of a Putin puppet. Putin is left with a annexed region of Russia which he needs to rebuild and a population that literally hates his guts.

He will need to control by fear and spend all his days locking up dissidents and separatists forever.

Yeah I don't get it either. Ukrainians will just be taking pot shots at Russian for many years I am guessing.

Well as I have read somewhere, the Ukky government was muttering about the eu and even joining NATO and Putin wasn’t into nukes so close to Moscow. They would not engage with him about being neutral etc a la Switzerland. So he didn’t want a potential enemy so close and given its proximity, he argued nukes on Ukky would threaten the fragile nuclear balance.

If you invade physically, you don’t have that problem.

Then of course, I read he wanted to give the US a black eye. He sees thats it’s descending into political chaos due to rampant partisanship.

So his justification is to invade Ukky for a safer Eastern Europe in the longer term.

Plus I suppose his friends can take a slice of Ukky resources.

Amongst other reasons I suppose, an emerging Russia after the humiliation of the end of the Cold War.

Everyone can promise arms and all that to the Ukraine, but they simply can’t get the gear in.

This is the stuff I’ve seen him speak about or has been argued, but who really knows?

The knee jerk response from the west has simply led to nukes potentially being rolled into Belarus and maybe later, Ukky land and a humanitarian crisis, etc.

Fek Putin, but watching our mistakes unfold has been heartbreaking.

All that said, I’m f**king pleased we can all share our ideas freely and not be arrested and I can readily understand why the Ukkies fight. I probably would too if we had to defend Oz.
But they can’t win, so every death is useless.

Twould have been better if it was all played out on a sophisticated simulation. Battlefield Ukraine.

Otherwise if new Zealand was under attack ( and it wasn’t by us) and it had a chance, and formed a foreign legion, wed all have to think seriously about joining up to defend her. That was an awkward sentence!

ANZUS treaty signed in 1951 (AU, NZ, USA)

Article V

For the purpose of Article IV, an armed attack on any of the Parties is deemed to include an armed attack on the metropolitan territory of any of the Parties, or on the island territories under its jurisdiction in the Pacific or on its armed forces, public vessels or aircraft in the Pacific.
